When I cleaned out my grandma house after she passed away I found coupons from the 60s-80s. I saved some. She also had $100 in food stamps from 1995.

@@WendyDahling3 , I have gotten two or three dollars back from Kroger in the past maybe four or five years ago but they keep changing their policy so that hasn't happened for quite a while. Last year I bought some kind of contact solution and I had a coupon the product was marked down I think I got $0.49 back that amount just went on some other things I bought I didn't get cash back that time. 40 years ago I could make money off doubling or tripling my coupons when I bought products but stores don't do that anymore.

Well the stock pile is for the whole family. So dad, uncle, and grandfather’s families. And majority of the time if they have too much of a certain thing they’ll resell and/or donate.

U guys act like they have toothpaste for 7 years... He literally said it would be enough for like 9 months? It's a big family so it's not going to waste. Plus tooth paste usually expires after 1 year (opened) BUT it's still safe to use it a few months after it expires, so no big deal really.

I think couponing is a great idea, I wish they did it in Australia but should only be for large families or charities. Stockpiling is a stupid idea, just buying bulk of item because there is a coupon. It should only be used for things you actually need. Clearing the shelf of an item that they don’t need when other shoppers do need them. Some the extreme shoppers spend hours cutting out coupons then hours (some 5-6) at the supermarket.

I, in 2021 use digital coupons, and sometimes paper coupons I receive in the mail ( I call companies for coupons), you can download and clip coupons or if you buy a newspaper there may be a coupon insert. I ONLY buy what I need & use donating extra if I have it. I DO NOT purchase items just because ... I have a coupon or they are on sale
