Hey, I saw a lot of theories saying that Gaunter O'Dill's name refers to God. Actually, I do not believe so. In the French version, his name is translated to Gaunter de Meuré, and GDM is not the abreviation of anything (god would be "dieu" un French). So, it may be a coincidence?

That cut scene was probably cut for pacing reasons, because it is quite long, which is a shame because it really gives you a feel for what's going on in the land, and how terrified the locals are of the Baron's men. Velen is probably the most tragic land in any game ever made.

@@petrpinc7695 Velen is tragic because elsewhere in the world are places like Toussaint or at least Novigrad, or hell even Skellige. those places are actually pretty decent places to live most of the time. I think the shadow thing is more a practical choice by the devs. . So they were selective where it happens as more of an Easter egg in certain scenes like 2:45 , but they decided to keep the shadows in general because it would just make things visually too weird/awkward if characters like Regis were walking around without a shadow.

I noticed the damage Roach causes now because I ran through a group of deers at Kaer Morhen and there was a strange sound I hadn't heard, then saw there was a dead doe. A small detail i noticed from a Witcher mod that gives names to characters that should have them, David Artensbrow, the fire breather at the wedding you attend with Shani, is also found in Toussaint, near the palace gardens marker, during the quest where you first encounter Detlaff.

Gamers take a lot of heat, and your awesome videos stand as "Defense Exhibit A" in the case of why we don't deserve it. You're a true gamer and a rock star. Don't stop doing what you love. My theory is that Vampieres themself don't cast shadows, but every piece of clotheing does. Why should the clothing change when worn by a vampire?
@Wuptidoo Жыл бұрын
That would make sense as to why the women cover up completely. If their shadow were missing a head and hands, only to show the covered parts. Then again, aren't higher vampires good at illusions?
@yar3333 Жыл бұрын
@@Wuptidoo yes, and I think that higher vampires don't wear clothes, but make an illusion of that! That's why they are not real clothes (though why they wouldn't be able to wear them in principle...). So if it is an illusion, it doesn't cast a shadow, otherwise it does (and this could vary).

I found 2 things, but I'm not sure if they were already in the game or new. (sorry for my bad English, I use Google Translate and my own poor knowledge) 1. Sirens can knock you out of your boat. They attack from below and can tilt the ship to the side, and you fall out of it. The ship does not take damage after you fall out of it, it returns to its original position. 2. This is simple and more "old" than a new discovery, maybe I haven't experienced it before. Geralt's new phrase "A storm is coming."

In the cut dialogue at the end, the bartender makes reference to "Cemetaurs and Strixens", are those local names for necrophages like Nekkers or Ghouls/Alghouls?
