Taging people as "unwanted" who are only trying to look for a better life in a different community? The forst step in so many hate crimes is to make the target easily identifiable. This episode is terrifying. You get so used to Cecil talking mundanely about horrifying things that dont exist but, whats really scary is hearing him talk mundanely about horrifying things that ALREADY exist. i am so not comfortabke with the point of view cecil and night vale seem to be taking on this one... Ok the way i see it, there are 2 ways to interpret Cecil causing Monica to lose her job A) while accepting it as part of the Nightvale experience, he is actually pretty disgruntle about the whole 'being constantly surveiled thing' and this subtle name drop was a way to get some petty revenge Or B) hes a blabbermouth idiot. And the problem is that both are in chatacter. This man managed to manipilate the city Council into opening a door by weaving this fictional break-in story to help Janice, but also accidentally tipped-off Strexcorp about the rebellion. So which is it????
