After 7 years of racing, crashes, blow ups, and general hoonage, Ike's luck finally runs out. He flipped the 750cc Honda powered Suzuki swapped 4 wheeler, the Honduki trying to drift a corner. He flew off the ATV when it flipped, and landed badly, injuring his shoulder, knee, and a few ribs. This was one bad 4 wheeler crash. He says he'll be back to drag race the Honduki once he recovers!

I feel your pain, champ. My wife made me go snow skiing for the first time in my life with the same result! Funnily enough, the days before my surgery, my father-in-law broke his fingers with a drill and was operated on. My wife had to go away for a business trip and left us (me with only my left arm functioning, him within right working) to fend for ourselves. We walked to the shops one day and one woman chirps in, with a massive cheeky grin on her face, and says "That'll teach you boys for fighting...." But the funniest part of the whole deal was that we both needed to be present to light the gas oven: one to turn and press the know, the other to flick the igniter.

I dumped a dirt bike back before my senior year of high school (1996). Was doing WOT in a field at 1230am with some flashlights taped to the handlebars. No helmet or any gear. I got very fortunate. I ended up "finding" a hole in the field that to the best of my recollection stopped me dead in my tracks. Came to, bike was running because the clutch got pinned in. Friend found me riding up and down the street aimlessly covered in mud. Ended up braking my right collar bone in 3 places, two were almost all the way through and cracked a molar. Lost all memory of the entire day as well. Didn't ride dirty ever again. Wish you the best in your recovery and look forward to seeing you get back in it.

Welcome to the club. This is basically exactly what happened to me when I broke my arm. I was going a bit faster however. I broke my left arm right at the shoulder socket. Had to have a plate and 18 screws put in to keep my arm attached. These videos are on my channel too, you just can't see my wreck but you can see how fast I was going. If I wasn't wearing a helmet I would have been in a much worse condition. Took about 6 months to get back on the quad. Again, most of this is on my channel, just not shot in a great way. A year after the accident I was back to 90% wide open. I still get/got nervous drifting around corners at speed. Anyway, good luck, you'll be back to normal soon enough.

Ike I feel your pain. I ruptured the distal bicep tendon in my right arm in January and just past my 6 month post op date. I didn’t do nearly as cool as your crash. I was helping out a friend fixing their garage door. I tried to catch and stop an unsprung 2 stall garage door with my right arm. I heard a pop and my arm instantly was on fire in pain. I couldn’t move my elbow for 15 minutes and when I straightened it out I couldn’t bend it back, without helping it with my left arm. I then drove 20 minutes back home, after finishing the garage door fix. I had to drive my 2014 Jeep JKU that’s a manual transmission. I then had my wife drive me to the ER. I really hope you have a speedy recovery to all your injuries.

It occurs to me that Ike has wrecked only twice that I know of: once on the V twin riding mower, once on the Hon-Dookie. Both had a high center of gravity, no rollbar, no seatbelts, and no business turning quickly! From now on, John, anything faster than a Trail 70 should have a roll bar and seatbelts before ya let Ike drive em!
@asshat5647
@asshat5647 3 жыл бұрын
you are correct about the high center but to limit oneself is total b.s. (my opinion ) , now had you said that one should practice with small extensions outside of ones SKILL LEVEL and comfort zones. Ike i bet you wish you kept your right foot on the foot peg and just went for a flight . from what i saw i think you would had been banged up a bit, regardless glad you walked away from it and still have the ride in you. dont get antsy and push it heal then play....
