Care Bear Shoes From Buster Brown- The VHS distortion in the beginning of this commercial adds to the feel of the rainy atmosphere, I think. Campbell’s Soup- Hearing an adult character like Junk Food talk in a child’s voice like the rest of the characters in this commercial makes me think someone is dubbing his voice and what his real voice would sound like if he was not being dubbed.

4:38 Jefferson Ward's days were numbered; as by the end of 1985 Mobil (which owned Montgomery Ward and had planned to convert a third of Montgomery Ward's stores to Jefferson Ward) ended up selling the northeastern locations (18 in all) to Bradlees and closed the others.

What?! That Hershey's bar commercial is Amazing! 80s breakdance-alicous. Must replay at least once more. '82 born so I don't remember none of these commercials. .Think my subconscious remembers some though because I feel so cozy watching and my spirit is happy watching these commercials.

woohoo, another D&D summary. These no longer exist because someone took them out when they were restoring the cartoons for release on DVD. They got rid of the opening summary, the intro and the end credits and stuck the 1st season intro on all seasons and the 2nd season end credits on all seasons. I'm slowly restoring my personal D&D collection back to the way they were back in the '80s, with opening summary, intros and end credits.

I can kind of see why they would edit them out of the episodes, but if they're taken out they should always be included as extras. I'll be posting more from this batch of D&D recordings very soon including the intros, but be warned that a few of the intros were not recorded.

@@80sCommercialVault That's great to hear. If you have some intros and end credits from the third season, that would be cool to see one of each because I have a very low quality intro from the third season, but I don't know if it's actually from the third season or spliced together by someone, it starts off like the first season intro and quickly changes in the tunnel ride to the second season intro. There is no apparent cut between the transition, so it must be a third season intro. It's been so long I just don't remember.

@@80sCommercialVault I believe it was Gary Gygax himself who told me they actually just cut the intros and end credits, along with those openings, I guess to be cheap and only restore the episode itself and then just restored the first season intro and the second season end credits and slapped them on all the episodes. I know from memory the first season had a couple of different intros, 2 or 3, slight differences and also a few different end credits. The other seasons seem to have stabilized the intro and end credits.

The episodes from this batch of recordings end in the summer of '85 so no season 3 episodes are included. Also, the DVD release isn't really a "restoration". Like most DVD releases of 80s cartoons they're essentially just dumps of the master tapes, in 480i quality. The openings were most likely trimmed to save disc space and cram as many episodes as they could per side. A real restoration would go back to the original film elements but more often than not these weren't kept as the final product was the broadcast master intended to air on standard def TV.

Yea! WCAU Channel 10! I remember Quincy reruns during the early fringe. I have 2 VHS tapes with Quincy recordings in 1988, around the end of its run on WCAU. Commercials and Promos are included.
