The Cheez Whiz fruit dip isn't as bad as I thought. The apple sauce tones down the strong taste of Cheez Whiz and it doesn't taste too cheesy overall. Mix 1/3 cup apple sauce (I think sweetened) 1/4 cup chopped pecans, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, dash nutmeg with 8oz (jar?) of melted CheezWhiz. Serve with apples and pears.

Processed cheese is essentially natural cheese with an emulsifier added. That's it. You can make it in your kitchen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apKqfJyNhtOAgMU
@apl1752 жыл бұрын
Velveeta gets a bad reputation but the reason it melts easily and consistently is due to an added emulsifying agent - usually sodium citrate. Without emulsifiers, the cheese would split in to proteins and oil like when you try to melt natural cheeses in to a sauce.

The ex of someone I know was half-Italian and his family ate pizza and pasta for Christmas dinner. Apparently it’s commonplace in Italy. Also my ex-friend’s adopted parents hosted a community Christmas lunch with the church they ran, which meant having their Christmas on Boxing Day and they didn’t want to be doing with making two Christmas turkey dinners so they would have nibbles instead.
