A very common issue for all Land Cruisers is rust behind the tailgate glass. In this 3 part video series, we disassemble our upper tailgate and explore how bad the rust is behind our glass. Excellent video, I need to watch the series. I have rust on the bottom of the upper door window as well. I might blast the rust with some fluid film as a short term solution. Thank you for posting.

I pushed the weatherstrip over the lip from the inside of the vehicle and used wood wedges as i progressed. This method worked good for me. That method seems like a lot more work
