This was such a fantastic idea . . . the videos are incredible for us that follow elite track and field to see a glimpse of what it’s like to train and compete at the level you are but this was next level! The mic’d up videos need to be a regular thing my friend! Good luck in the upcoming races and at USA’s!

@@ClaytonMurphy800I am an 800 meter runner myself and trying to learn. Is it possible that you can go into more detail in your videos? For example-your warm up stretch routine or what you consume before a race.

This was so cool. Any content featuring pros interacting with each other is really fascinating to me. I know it’s an individual sport but I still am very curious about friendships/rivalries between various pros who see each other on the circuit

I love these kind of first person videos where professional athletes take to social media to show others that they’re human beings just like us. It shows that they’re not all robotic like we assume they are. It makes the gap between the average human and a professional athlete seem just a little smaller.

You should do that 400 now! Would love to hear another micd up and hear you mix it up with the sprinters. Surely you'll run a 46 low at least right?? And keep this content coming. In the long run its going to draw so many more eyes to the sport with a behind the scenes with a runner of your caliber. Lastly USAs is cutthroat and you're still a top 10 in the world 800m runner for sure. Keep your head up champ 🏆:)

Is there any particular reason you wear an arm sleeve? I like it because it keeps me from leaning too far left around the curves and cramping up. Besides that idk what the purpose would be?

Yes, please wear sunscreen, everyone. My dad was diagnosed with stage two Melanoma a few months ago. They had to cut his face open... about a 4 inch radius around his right temple, and they cut all the way down to the muscle. The biopsy afterwards showed that it was 2mm away from passing through his skin and into the lymphatic system. When that happens, you got a potential new set of problems. Dad never wore sunscreen his entire life. The docs said that they were surprised he didn't get cancer much, much earlier based on the condition of his skin. His margins cleared, and he's cancer free right now, but it was not without its struggles. He had a plastic surgeon cut open his neck to take a lymph node biopsy and reconstruct his face after excising the cancer. The recovery from that is no joke, so please wear sunscreen, PLEASE!
