I accidentally volunteered myself right up on stage with David when he performed at the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie, NY for this tour! I heard him say he needed a volunteer and just started running! I thought there'd be competition and wanted to get there first. Next thing I know I'm on stage. That's when I saw he was picking people who raised their hand! I got up there fast and he had his back to me. He eventually turned around and there I was. Much more story after that. All of it funny and a little fucked up. He let me stay and we did two skits together from scripts! I did my best to not fuck up his show and read the script well. I did great considering I'm not trained in this. I have always leaned a little bit more right than David Cross, and I do believe in God. That said, I love his comedy because it is so accurate, so honest, so informed. He doesn't blather a bunch of myopic views with cheap one-liners to pander to the most misinformed in the audience. Oh no, he comes at you with the research and the receipts, and he finds a truth in his humor that make you both laugh and nod your head and say, "Yeah, I see where you're coming from."

@@theunsweetkarmaway Yeah, the part in your comment where I raised an eyebrow was 'accurate'. The political stuff in this was pretty lazy. @@AlexReynard Thank you for putting it that way. You summed it up so much better than I could. I have friends from the very blue state of Washington who are afraid to visit Florida. Their nephew is gay, and he thought that we were going to lynch him. When they came to Florida, they were surprised by how welcome they felt and how comfortable they were. They told me that every night on the local news outlets in Seattle, there were at least 10 minutes devoted to demonizing Ron DiSantis. This was back when Ron was considered a serious contender for president. Once Ron began to weaken in the polls, the stories about him in Seattle stopped. Lazy politics, as you say.

@@theunsweetkarmaway Heyyyyyy, guess what state I'm coincidentally in? Hint: Its first syllable is what Waluigi says. Also, the bit about the Ron newscasts does not surprise me. All the hate for Ron fell out of sight as soon as he stopped being a threat. And the left adored Elon until all of a sudden they didn't. He's got 8 - all of them are listed on his Wikipedia (minus this one, as of right now). I don't think there's a video special for It's Not Funny, and the video from the "Shut Up, You Fucking Baby" special was released as "Let America Laugh"... and it's not really a standup special, more of a documentary from that tour, with clips of the standup throughout the documentary.

@@ScottThibodeaux Thanks for the correction. David Cross himself said it was 5 on the "Fly on the Wall" podcast, so I took him at his word and didn't bother to research.

5 is a lot when he spent so much time creating Mr.Show and being on Arrested Development. He's got his own podcast now too!

"bigger and blackerer" is the only one you need to google. Drug jokes, not one kid joke. Well maybe but I'm not checking.

36:25 I'm 35, have my own house, anime is only one of the options. I clean up my space, even around the gaming chair. My *tasteful* glass water pipe is in the kitchen. My robe is both washed and has fabric softener added. I practice good posture, which is why I have this lumbar pillow. Bitcoin and the stock market is a scam manipulated by Wall Street. *Whew* I thought he was talking about me there for a second.

@@mattmatt222333 I figured antique meant a few new blades. But a hand-crafted handle.... that's a different thing altogether.

My first introduction to David Cross was Scary Movie 2 lol he stole the show and had the funniest moments. Then Tobias took it home for me. Love his stand up too
