Ear plugs, You can get them from health and beauty stores, Chemists, and Amazon. Audiologists can supply custom fit ear plugs. Wear them in the shower, as well as when swimming.

I the U.S. I had an adult friend who had to have tubes put into his ears, and the Dr. told him to use "Silly Putty" like Chilcren use to play with, and put that into his ears before a shower.. He tried ear plugs, but that hurt, so - they said try the silly putty, it's less than $2 - he tried that, used it for several months actually, and it worked great! The other things you're mentioning, like Tea-tree oil, olive oil etc., I have in my kitchen or bath for many many reasons. Thank you for posting this!
@viviennejordan2153 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard of Tea-Tree Oil being used in the ear. Acetic Acid, as used in EarCalm Spray, Includes Olive Oil also, is Good, for itchy dry ears.
@viviennejordan2153 жыл бұрын
Make sure You buy/use Medical Grade Olive Oil, Not Olive Oil that You use in the kitchen. Get it from health and beauty stores, Pharmacies or Amazon. Neel use to have the link for Amazon in the description box. It may be on older videos.

So if you shouldn't let water in your ears, how do you get excess wax out of your ears so it doesn't become a hard wax ball? I have a kiddo that has narrow ear canals and I have to flush them regularly so she doesn't continue to grow "ear potatoes" as we call the hard black rocks.
@leenasharma19063 жыл бұрын
Hi use olive oil. Water can lead to ear infections
@tiffanyfennimore5343 жыл бұрын
@@leenasharma1906 so flush with olive oil like I would the water? I use that to soften the wax ball if she ends up with them. But we have to flush her ears regularly to get the wax out, as it doesn't do it naturally, unfortunately.
@leenasharma19063 жыл бұрын
@@tiffanyfennimore534 hi is this one of your children or a patient? If you haven't looked in the ears how do you know if there's too much wax that needs to come out? If you're a professional, Neel talks about irrigation at the end of video #807
@tiffanyfennimore5343 жыл бұрын
Its one of my kids. I have an otoscope and the plastic light up wand thingy to get it out when they get big. But to prevent that, we have been softening the wax every week, and flushing it out with the "elephant ear" hand held trigger based bottle.
@tiffanyfennimore5343 жыл бұрын
Thanks for letting me know which vide to look at! I've heard him say a few times he doesn't like the peroxide drops, and that water irrigation can cause swimmers ears and things. She gets reoccurring inner ear ear infections a few times a year. She's 13 now.

Go to Neel's website, in description box., to find the nearest Audiologist to You. There are Mobile Audiologists Also, who can visit Your home.
@viviennejordan2153 жыл бұрын
I think Neel would recommend the use of Sodium Bicarbonate Drops for dead skin. I wouldn't use it daily, but ask the Audiologist, when You make an appointment, whether to use it the day before the appt. Make sure You drain the ear after 5-10 mins. I Hope that Helps.

Dr Zhao is an ENT specialist and surgeon. He does use a general but he also treats poor patients who have no insurance. Those patients cannot afford a general unfortunately. His work is great considering the seriousness of some of the diseases of the ear he faces.
