Thumb up for this sentence in the description: "TV in the 80's and early 90's for kids was totally awesome and yet I still played outside and rode my bike all the time. The current trend of bubble-wrapping kids from all danger has probably led to more obesity and inactivity than anything else"

Captain N was exactly how you stated it in the description. We all watched because Nintendo was a force to be reckoned with in the 80s, but when you saw the bastardizations they did to ALL the characters, it was one big MESS. 3 Jerketeers! Because nothing was as cool as "ALASKA CHILL OUT" on your bike, man. TV was great back then, but being outside was even BETTER -- isn't that what we ALL did after cartoons on Saturday?

I got most of the girls toys shown here for Christmas that year. It was the one and only year I managed to break out of my room before my parents woke up. I opened every single present at about 3AM, including my dad's summer sausage and my baby sister's gifts. They padlocked my door after that. Ah, memories. Poor Little Miss Makeup. I fatefully took her to me with the beach, and her makeup discolored and became permanent thanks to the sun. "My Fancy Filly" wasn't very fancy for long, either.

I think the Bouncin' Babies are even more nightmare inducing than the Sunkist Fun Fruit tree.

Holy Smurf! When did the Smurfs time travel? Also, there was an AMAZING series of 3 Musketeers ads during the late 90's that were promoting a non-existent big budget animated movie. Too bad it's very hard to find them on KZbin.

I believe the girl in the Fun Fruits commercial played Stacey on the short-lived "Babysitter's Club" TV show "Oh no! The soggies!" I agree w/ your comment on #10 what is meant in the McDonald's commercial when the fries & drink are "regular size?" "Little Miss Make-up" that's slightly disturbing this volume has a good sampling of girl's toys of the moment

I remember that Three Musketeers campaign from the late 80's. I believe in one ad, they gave the car a name. Wasn't it Marilyn?

you'll give Captain N too little credit. It was a pretty good show. It could of been alot better, i mean alot better....but it really pushed ur limits back when Nintendo was just starting.
