I got one of those assembly manual myself, for my 81. I use it for everything that I work on. Just finished up the whole suspension, front and rear, steering, brakes, new tranny, and redid the frame and floor panels.

Great idea on the battery cushion! The 76 plates are cool! 76 was a great year, my 1st year of Jr.High school, was a exciting time. My first corvette was a 76, one of my good friends still has it.👍

Yup. I used to hang out at the local auto parts store. The dad of one of my friends owned the place. He had a small display of the new Bicentennial plates so I had to buy one, even though I had no car or even a driver’s license at the time. Lol 😆

I noticed that you have another wire coming off of your positive cable connecting to the interior wall and then disappearing through the side wall. Do you know what that is? My 81 doesn’t have that - just curious. As always thanks for posting everything, my restoration projects revolve around your videos.

Thank you, George! 😊👍🏻 Those are leftover drawer liner pieces. I either bought them at Lowe’s or HFT. I used double-sided carpet tape to secure them to the battery compartment floor. Thank you for watching! 😊👍🏻

Great idea on eye protection. I had one pop on me years ago and the acid ate my down vest right off of me! Scary stuff.
