"Never beleve a man that says he KNOWS the truth, for is too ignorant to have ever asked the right questions." "I'm the wisest man alive, for the only thing I KNOW is that I KNOW nothing! "If a man is unwilling to completely let go of his beliefs when shown opposing evidence, he is just ignorant." the second you said "we'll, from a Christians point of view" I knew this video would be worthless. Ignorance is bliss I suppose, no wonder I'm never content...I am not afraid to consider every possible opinion on earth without bias and judgement.

Thank you for sharing this. Came here to ask a very specific question; which would be the Christian POV of the latter question. So I got my answer from this video. In fact, listening to this ignorant man’s opinion has provided me with a context I never considered. But sadly he did not answer the previous questions. “What is the difference between believing and knowing.”

Horrible. Knowledge is information. Belief is a feeling, a mental state. COMPLETELY different things. "What's the difference between soil and happiness ?" If you believe in aliens I can't argue with that, you really do feel that way. If you believe I'm 47 yrs old, you really do. But the fact is, I'm not , you're lacking information... knowledge. It's an independently verifiable fact whether you or I believe it or not. It can get very complicated but you have to at least start here.

I'm going to start off by saying I'm a Christian. I agree with you. I have to say that your example about the 47 yr old was implying that Christians are believing in a lie. That's where I disagree. But, your analogy on how believing and knowing is different, I can get behind. Because when you are in front of God, you no longer need to say that you have faith in Him or that you believe in Him. At that point, you just know. That example alone shows that there is a difference between believing/faith and knowing.

@@donny5429 you got it Donny. Experiential truth is absolute, unwavering and quite personal.

@@Revelator2025 Well, I have recently been countered with "faith/believing is knowing without seeing, then when you finally see it, the only difference is not that you now know that you see it, but it’s that you see what you already knew existed."

Nonsense. Let’s talk belief vs Knowing. Knowing is experiential truth. Its personal. And it’s absolute. KNOWLEDGE and intellectualized assumptions are another aspect of our conditioned self to a given paradigm of one’s reality, and still operating out of a place of one’s subjective belief system. People can be tricked into „knowing“ something. Knowing is a specific conditon of the mind or a experience. hypothetical knowing is absolute but practical in daily life its not possible. The concepts we are describing now are in itself just there.
