The “bees” you saw that you didn’t recognise are actually hornets, they’re aggressive and actually feed on honey bees.

Awesome job!! Bracken what kind of uncapper do you have? Nice extractor also!! Bald faced hornets ..they’ll will hover the hives and knock the bees off one at a time!! Awful critters!

That’s what that is? Dang I didn’t know they looked like that! It’s a cowen uncapped. No idea the model name or anything. Guy gave it to me when I purchased the extractor!
