Tommy you’re a legend, but every once in a lifetime there’s that one fella that shows up to remind us all the torch has been passed uphill! Ladies and germs put yer hooves together for the greatest player…Jake Workman!!!

Musicians start learning to play because of a love and excitement that their instrument brings them from within. The hours of time they spend in a closed room practicing, learning, growing callouses, most people would never understand. For the vast majority, there is no money it for us. It’s just a love from within. It’s that inner love of music that drives them on. It’s usually something most people never get to know or experience in there own lives. Some musicians never get to experience that emotion more than a few times, but we keep striving for it. It’s a rare thing when you can capture two people who can share that personal love of music without saying a word. They play for each other and are nice enough to allow us to listen and watch. It’s an even harder thing to capture on camera. Thank you for sharing.

This has nothing to do with practice-No matter how many hours one may try the vast majority of people will not even manage to play part of it...it is called GIFT and it is found in all forms of Arts by very few people only !
@ronnieedwards5550 Жыл бұрын
It's 10 percent talent 90% practice. I've done it for 52 years and taught lots of people several who went on to make a living playing guitar. Gift or talent is the cop-out terms people who don't want to put the time in use as an excuse for not trying. I've heard that BS from people my whole life. It's so easy to learn now with online teachers but people still want an escape route for lack of effort

My latest liked video at 81 Crow. Holy cow at the flying fingers. Notes, notes, and still more notes. Tommy seems to be as great of human as guitar player. Jake Workman I a beast. Loved it Russ. Part 3 please?

I was just thinking the same, watching Tommy’s fingers move like liquid over the strings! How much practice that must take! .. and on top of that, he’s learned how to be a cool human being as well! Top marks to that guy!

Tommy's a great player but I don't think his guitar has enough ass to keep up in a bluegrass band setting it sounds really thin.
