ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਜਗਰਾਓਂ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ 82 ਸਾਲਾ ਹਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੱਗੀ ਨੇਮਪਲੇਟ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਫੌਜ ਦੀ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਟਾਇਰ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ 16 ਪੋਸਟਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਡਿਗਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਤੇ ਡਿਪਲੋਮਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ 40 ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਨੇ..

N yes let me add , we were in Punjab for good 5yrs n luckily for us the library in jagraon had books , we got them for free , they were original novels , most of sir Walter Scott n some of Charles Dickens , we gathered immense knowledge there but couldn't save books coz they were already hit by worms n mildew..... but our( me n my sister's) eyes opened in Punjab by imagining the level of education/ books available at jagraon in olden days , which our govt destroyed over the years no wonder all got migrated overseas from 1970s onwards . What can one expect from people? When they can see that quality of education their parents got was better than they are getting

So much like my family no tv . N so much like my dad , dumping books on us . N so much like my dad reading always n mastering , he too was 1938 born n coincidently village near jagraon n coincidently he read literature of English hindi marathi bengali urdu tried farsi etc too As per understanding n speaking , he could understand all of north Indian languages ( all states except northeast ) n speak most of them uptil Maharashtra state . Apart from this language efficiency he mastered science in English language . Infact despite being educated only in Punjabi language uptill10th grade English became his mother tongue, he started listening to English songs in 60s n continued till mid 80s ..... But sadly place time n era was never in his favor ... he was truly an encyclopedia ... what a waste of unrecognized ability Pray Waheguruji fulfill uncleji's minimalist wish ie to be listed in Guinness book ❤
