I have an original 1986 f350 6.9. Did your rebuild trick work well?

That's my next project it was plugged up when the engine was rebuilt I need to repair it I thought I could replace it no?

do all 1984 diesels have a separator from the factory ? I have an F350 and cant seem to find it ..I just purchased the truck so diesel is new to me...

Yes, it should come from the factory with one next to the master cylinder.

@@somewhatscience7718 its under the brake booster on the driver side, just picked up an 83 and someone bypassed the water separator probably just going to install a rancor unit. Wont get the water in fuel light but at least it will have a working fuel water separator again.

I like this video but after watching over and over ive decided to just seal all threaded fittings and install a valve in the main drain

Is the slot in pull shaft a vent for drain?
