840hp AMG GT v 760hp AMG EQS: DRAG RACE

How’s this for an AMG vs AMG line-up?!
We’ve got Mat in the most powerful petrol-powered AMG, the GT 63 S E-Performance 4 Door, and he’s going up against Yianni in the AMG EQS 53!
So let’s see how these two behemoths compare. Starting with the GT, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with an electric motor. They combine to produce 843hp and an incredible 1,400Nm! It’s pretty heavy, though, tipping the scales at 2,305kg. And it’s super expensive, with a new one costing at least £174,000!!
Then we have the EQS. It’s equipped with dual electric motors which combine to put down 761hp and 1,020Nm. Amazingly, it’s heavier than the GT, coming in at 2,580kg. But it is a bit cheaper, costing ‘only’ £161,000.
So what do we think - a clean sweep for petrol power? Or could the EQS snatch it? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

In a previous race M5cs did 10.9 in the wet whereas this did an 11. Negligible difference in the real world but the m5cs will still win could be a different story in the rolling race with almost double the torque in the Benz though. But what won't be a surprise is the heavy gt63s e performance losing the break test.

@@chamaldealwis9 depends on the conditions, you can see it’s wet in this race so the gt63 will likely be quicker in better conditions. I don’t know what conditions the m5 did the race in. But it’ll definitely be a decent race

Honestly with this car, it has absolutely no sound and you need to charge and fuel up making it unnecessaryly complicated. At that point I'd rather buy a faster electric car or a car that has actual sound like a McLaren or Ferrari.

The GT63 has also a Drift Mode, you can enable that, when you pull both paddles at the same time and the just press paddle up to accept it

GT63SE actually has 2 transmissions, the 9-speed and a 2-speed attached to the electric motor which also has a built-in E-differential and rear axle steering. Its an absurdly complicated system in the back to accompany the twin turbo V8 in the front.
