Money is needed to run a business, and it is hoped that a business will bring in enough funds to sustain one’s family. However, goals with regard to money can easily get distorted. Greed may enter the picture. For many people, everything else gets set aside where money is involved. Yet, one writer of the Bible book of Proverbs, Agur, expressed the balanced viewpoint when he said: “Give me neither poverty nor riches. Let me devour the food prescribed for me.” (Bible, Proverbs, chapter, 30, verse 8) He realized the value of being satisfied with a sufficient amount for sustenance​-he did not want to “make a killing,” as some say in business.

Talking about winning chances, your going turn is important. In a game of four if you go first - your chance to win is 27.15%, compared to second - 25.84%, third - 24.78%, and last - 22.22%. In a game of three, it's - 1) 39.92% 2) 38.36% 3) 22.72%. And for two players it's - 79% to 21%

In Italy it's known as MONOPOLI. I usually play it with my son and we decided to simplify the rules. Such good fun

I figured it makes sense to get properties that are adjacent to each other. This way you decrease the chance that people will just pass through your properties. Has it crossed your mind before, am I perhaps getting it wrong? Like, when you do your best to get a full side, no matter which.

It doesn’t make much difference if the sets are next to each other tbh. It’s mainly a case of “the more the merrier” but some sets get landed on more than others, and some sets have better ROI than others.

@@LukesEnglishPodcast I can’t really put my finger on it, but just imagine having the red set plus the yellow set, plus the green set, plus the train station between the red and the yellow and the water supply thing. People rolling dice will be very unlikely to not step on your property. They can only be saved by the “chance” spot, you see, people can’t roll 15 with the dice. And now compare it with the brown, the orange and the yellow sets. People may jump over your property very easily every turn. I might still be missing something, but I think you brushed my theory off too quickly)
