Can I just take a minute to praise Zdenek’s English? He’s so fluent and all these idioms and rare vocab items pop up so naturally and so fast, this is awesome, honestly. I am also fluent, confident, etc, but man, this level of control, fluidity, agility and pace is amazing. I think there is a potential for yet another episode with Zdenek on how to master your English beyond C2, how to achieve native-like English not as a learner, but as someone who sort of adopted it all as a lifestyle rather than just a language. You could call it something like “Beyond Fluency” or whatever)

Wow, Zdenek and Luke, my two BEST teachers! Buzzing through this video, I was totally caught in its web! It's the bee's knees! Keep fluttering to greater heights, and don't let any negative bugs bite in the comments. This talk about bed bugs in Paris is really interesting. I liked the funny bits, especially the "naked eye" joke. It's good to know we shouldn't always believe everything we hear right away. Luke's own stories made it feel more real and fun. They did a good job mixing facts with some laughs. Great chat!

Speaking of mosquitos in Vietnam, I completely agree with Zdenek that they are so unbelievably cunning that I hardly kill them by hand. Therefore, electric mosquito traps are prevalent in Vietnam and favoured by many people. Btw, thanks Luke and Zdenek for another amazing podcast!

Great video, Luke! I listened to it on Spotify, but I prefer to leave my comments here because it's more permanent. Zdenek knows how to tell a compelling story, and he has an interesting life. You should interview more people like him. Just one more thing: Cockroaches can fly, but some do so slowly, while others, which my daughter refers to as 'demons', fly rapidly and make a lot of noise when they're in flight.

Just to make a little correction there, Luke, some cockroaches do bite humans in Australia, unless they thought I was a huge piece of bread wrapped with a huge tea towel. Although they don't seem to leave any poison or substance on your skin like other insects do, so it doesn't get itchy or swollen.
