Hi, Luke! Wanted to say thank you for your previous episodes about ChatGPT. I use it on and off, when I need more examples and explanations about some words and idioms. It really helps, when dictionary doesn't give you enough information for understanding some subtleties.

I can always understand almost everything to you, in fact at times I may forget that I' m listening sth in English, and that made me thing that I knew more English that I supposse i did, but while listening. This teacher you have invoted today, I can't almost understand him. Maybe I'm worst than I thought at was at English, or he doesn't speak English as clear as you do.

Your podcasts, Luke, not only enrich my knowledge of the English language, but also broaden my horizons in many other areas. I think that a few months ago there were some good spirits with me, thanks to which I played one of your podcasts in the vast amount of KZbin materials. Since then, I have been much richer, because knowledge and skills are the greatest wealth. Moreover, one that no one can take away from us. Thank you 🙂 Have a nice day 🙂

Luke, your podcasts, unlike others, have a strong human element. That's why when I listen to you and your guests, I feel like I'm in the same room with you. We are not hundreds of kilometers apart. Be as you are, don't change conventions. You are a great teacher!

❤ Dear Luke, I have already written you an enthusiastic review of your work. I admired your wonderful diction and timbre of your voice. Now I want to point out two more indicators: lively facial expressions and gestures, which, in addition to the above-mentioned advantages, make you an unsurpassed English teacher, at least among everyone who teaches on the Internet. I appreciated the importance of facial expressions, gaze and gestures in the USA, in conversations with local people which used words unfamiliar to me. I wish you health and fulfillment of your dreams!

Hi there Luke. One thing I'd like to ask is, some of your podcast episodes are longer than the KZbin versions. Why? :)
@LukesEnglishPodcast
@LukesEnglishPodcast Жыл бұрын
There are various reasons. 1) LEP has always been an audio podcast, and so I prioritise the audio episodes, giving them extra attention and extra content. 2) It's easier/faster for me to make audio than video, and so it is easier to add extra bits to the audio episodes. There are probably other reasons which I don't have time to go into right now. But basically, LEP is an audio show, and some episodes have full video versions, other episodes have certain sections in video form.

I think this particular guest has a slightly more academic style of speaking and therefore comes across as monotone, making it hard to focus unless you are really interested in the topic and can fully immerse yourself into listening to him.

It’s one of many useful skills that you get from listening to LEP. Being able to listen to a seemingly monotone speaker who doesn’t grade his language is exceptionally valuable.
