Everyone saw the Death flags For Eugene But no one Expected to see em dead the VERY NEXT FRAME, This show is crazy. The orange hair Guy that said "why didn't u save him" He's referring to the fact that Shin was Busy killing off Legion and didn't go to back up the rest of them that probably needed the help. (Atleast that's how I interpreted it)

I also interpreted like that. Shin is a specialist in close combat. Also, he spent years in an expendable squadron, so he's used to reckless fighting the legion until the last unit is down. We've seen him multiple times being in the middle of an enemy group, destroying units, rather than close to his comrades. It's probably hard for the soldiers that have been trained differently to understand this way of fighting.

In the novels iirc eugene wasn't able to escape a bombardment because regular federacy units were still not using raid tech, which at the time was still being tested by the Nordlich squad. Shin could have had warned Eugene but his radio comms and radar were malfunctioning so he wasn't able to react. Marcel blamed him so to ease his pain.

IMO, the interesting part from Ep 14 is that Eugene is basically a mix of Shourei (glasses, big brother) and Lena (Alba, idealistic), and has some 'future and dreams' unlike the 86s were. That shot seemed very heavy for Shin, and it is a prelude to the change from "Sadness Simulator 2021" to "PTSD Simulator 2022". Anyways, enjoy the trip, the payoff will be very very beautiful-- if we still have some fragments of our heart left.

The end credit scene shows how bad the fight is going for the Republic because so many pictures are missing from her formerly full board.

They're not getting the big guy's point. The other two's point is that "regardless of the 86 people, they have these all kinds of technology but they don't have the satellite to see the enemies as "dots"" BUT the big guy is saying, they can't advance their technology their because they don't have the 86, they CAN'T replicate the Para RAID on their own because they can't sacrifice thousands or even millions of their people just to do human experiment which will make their technology go leaps and bounds. The 86 people are the independent variable here.

I thought I was losing brain cells from their argument. Why does one country have para raid technology and the other doesn't? One country values the lives of the test subjects where the other doesn't. The republic was churning out experiment after experiment obtaining as much data as possible whereas the federation prioritsed safety over data gathering meaning that any experiments they would conduct would happen more slowly. It also makes zero sense to assume the federation is far less advance compared to the republic because of just the para raid technology. That would be like saying that America was far more technologically advance to Nazi Germany or Russia because they had a scientific breakthrough for nuclear technology. That just isn't true One item of scientific technology doesn't put you light years ahead of another country. Even if we were to assume that no sacrifices were to be made, there are still possibilities for a scientific breakthrough to be made while being in the same general advancement as your competitors

Para- RAID was only possible because shin and annet parents study him. How can federation make para-RAID if shin in other country. Of course they don't have it. For now

The Federacy reverse-engineered the PARA-RAID devices that they recovered from Shin’s group and also the Reginleiffs which the Nordlicht squadron uses were inspired by the Juggernauts P.S. you’ll see the weakness of Shin’s ability in the next couple of episodes

As far as anybody is concerned, no other team sent on special recon has survived. With limited resources and manpower, most people will die in weeks if not a few months. As for the Giad empire, they are the nation that created the Legion, but described it as a mistake when their own autonomous machines turned on themselves. Due to their nation’s inadequate power to protect themselves and govern, their own people overran the country and enforced their own power and government.

Yes the red is the legion. In the first episode of part 2 (I think anyway) they showed the same map with a tiny bit of red on it. But now they're completely surrounded. And the Federacy is definitely more advanced than the Republic. The only thing the Republic have that's better is the PARA raid. Its explained in the novels what each country was proficient in before the war started. Giad is basically a military superpower, for this world anyway. The legion still far outclass any of the countries in almost every way though

1:21; no, these are Giad's machines, the Vanagandr. Their guns and armor are a lot better, but they're nowhere near as mobile. They're not supposed to be able to do flips like that, that's why everyone was freaking out at it.
