Its always nice to see my favorite UK Locomotive in operation, and on this particular trip to London, I got the chance!
87002, Formerly in BR Blue livery, is now employed by Serco, and is used to shunt the empty-stock off the Caledonian Sleeper, but it is not uncommon for the locomotive to take the entire train up to Scotland, which was the occurrence here!
We firstly see the locomotive in the center-road at London Euston, awaiting for the stock to be brought into the station by 92032, once the stock has arrived in from Wembley, the Class 87 proceeds to depart Euston, to 'headshunt' onto the sleeper stock.
Unfortunately, the final Virgin Trains service back to Liverpool departs eight minutes before the sleeper departs, so I was unable to capture the loco departing the capital.
Thanks for Watching!
