Removal of the throttle plate does wonders for throttle response and off-boost torque. If you haven't already, drill out the inlet nipple on the compensator lid to the full diameter of the hose. I wasn't getting full boost in 1st and 2nd, or full fueling. Now that it's drilled out the boost snaps up to 11psi in 1st and I get full fueling (and full power) much sooner.

Do you have any photos of how you done this?would love to see

@@cathaldoherty8754 I don't unfortunately, but it's pretty straightforward. For the throttle plate, remove the intake plumbing (carefully, you'll want to re-use your gaskets so don't destroy them). Inside the throttle body there's a throttle plate. This is actuated by a vacuum solenoid and provides manifold vacuum for the EGR system (nothing else). The throttle plate is held in by two screws, mine stripped so I drilled them out and slid the plate out. Blew out all the metal shavings before putting it back together so the engine didn't suck them in. For the injection pump lid mod, take off the lid on the top of the injection pump (where the boost line connects), take the boost line off and have a look through the nipple. The hole is more than likely a lot smaller than the diameter of the boost hose. If you drill it out with a drill bit the same size as the diameter of the rest of the nipple it will spool much faster. You can also rotate the metering rod to the most gradual ramp so the fuelling is a little more uniform. Watch your EGTs!! Hope that helps

I see it u have very important info..but im not clear..about the turn of the compensator..the marking and wat so ever..please explain in detail

The mark is for to mark the fuel flow from factory. Turning/spinning the shaft will reduce this time to get to the port which allows more fuel in quicker.

Hey mate, love the video found it to be really informative. I have a question regarding your glow system setup? on my Ln65 it has the super glow system and for the love of me can't get to to work. I've gotta replace the glow plugs anyway but I've also noticed on the passenger side near the two glow relays/solenoids that's rectangular that has to the one end two wires one solid brown and one solid white. mine had been snipped at one end and for the life of me can't figure out where they go. please any help would be greatly appreciated.

No mate..more air equals power.. know how your diesel works
@danielmeyer45154 жыл бұрын
Nah he put more air into it and it leaned out cause not enough fuel. And yes more fuel into a diesel is more power but makes the more soot more egts and makes the car more unreliable

hi m8, good video but your instructions are incorrect. rotating the membrane doesnt have any effect as the membrane doesnt have any position. What you need to do is to replace the pinion with this one www.euro4x4parts.com/parts/icc1006-2028_lda_rod_euro4x4parts.html and then you can rotate the dented wheel half turn anti-clockwise (optional). play a bit with your settings, rotate the wheel no more than 3/4 anticlockwise or clowise, do it at your own risk as doing this will inject more/ less fuel into the engine and you know what happens when you have too much /less fuel... have fun. btw original settings for the 3.0td engine are imageshack.com/a/img922/3798/yJXOOz.png
