Hey Shane! Great channel you have here. I like how you explore a range of different topics. from macro video to 8k nature and large lenses. Thank you for sharing your work! Also, Nice Coffee gear you have! I see that you like specialty coffee too!! we have a lot in common. I went to film school when I was younger. At the same time learned photography from a mentor that moved to the U.S from France. Along the way I fell in love with coffee! I have travelled around the world trying coffee and filming some incredible people and places. Enjoy your week! - Brandon Athey

Most of the shots are at f11 on the Sony 90mm macro, very crispy lens still after all these years

Beautiful 👏 I enjoy the same camera! May I ask if you shot this on the PD tripod? Also, can you recommend video editing software? Thanks! 😁

Impressive! This update just came in time when I wasn't too sure if I should buy the A1 for 8K 4:2:0 or wait. I think you've shot that in 30fps and gently slowed down by 20% to 24fps, right? I would mostly need the 8K footage for extreme cropping 2x that still has true 4K or even go 3x and still have a better-than-most 4K image for more stationary animals or extreme macro beyond 5x magnification.

Nice! Are you going to do a review of the A1?

Hi Shane, Great video. Have you tried to see how long it goes before overheating yet?
@ShaneBethlehem2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t timed it yet unfortunately, but I was out for about 3 hours walking this morning testing it and it overheated on me two times when I was in direct bright sun recording for a few minutes intermittently. It definitely is going to be a limited time of recording, but it isn’t nearly as bad as I expected it to be, I’ll be trying it out more as I push the limit of the camera.

@@ShaneBethlehem Thank you for the reply. Yea that’s unfortunate. Did you pull the LCD screen out while filming? That seems to help on other cameras that have an overheating problem.

Np, yeah I did, hard to say if it made a dif because I had it like that the whole time when shooting. The recovery time seems a little confusing, it totally locks the camera up for 2-5 min it seems but then it has no warnings when booting back up. I’m not going to complain about having these extra options for recording, but it’s definitely not one I’ll be using routinely as it decimated my computer if I didn’t use proxies, like crashed premiere routinely (though that’s not necessarily a difficult task 😅)

How are the eye af improvements?

I haven’t tested it yet but to be honest before the update I had no issues so I’m not sure if I will see a difference. I have a couple shoots this weekend and will test it
