My codes went off for literally everything seat belts seat sensors and more does that mean I have to replace all those or can those parts because my seat belt and everything still works

Hey I have 06 civic ex passenger side curtain and seat deployed could I just go to salvage yard and get a srs modular to clear srs light ? Thanks in advance

In theory yes. As long as it's a air bag module where no air bags have deployed. car-part.com is your best bet. I purchased from a local salvage yard, that sells parts, once and it worked.

@@will2tha0 Front bumper right side. Furthest to the right. Tucked under the headlight. Can't miss it. They have yellow connectors on them. One on each side. You can reuse them as long as they are not physically damaged. I reused mine. You might be able to get to it by pulling just the plastic under fender. Good luck.

So if I replace srs module, airbags and impact sensor and then plug in all of them, is there a chance that the airbags deploy for no reasons?

The impact sensors are what trip the airbags. However, although very unlikely, it's still possible for them to trip from something energizing the airbag. ALWAYS disconnect your battery and give it a few minutes for all the energy to drain.

I think I have repaired everything that was at fault on the codes if I send my SRS module to be reset and there is still another code or something else pop up do I have to send the module back to be reset?

Good question. I'm not 100% sure but this is my thought process. Airbags deployed and anything else that goes off (seatbelt pre tensioners )are what sets hardcodes. I don't believe the sensors set hard codes because I did not replace mine. I reused them. With that said if all airbags deployed or other items that go off have been replaced and you get your module back after being reset . Even if you still have a bad sensor it would make sense that it will throw a soft code for whatever it can't communicate with but not a hard code. Hard code I assume can only be set in the event where something goes off. Even if the replacement airbag is bad it should not set a hard code ...instead a soft code stating that it cannot communicate with it . Hope this helps !

Hello. Connect the terminals. Turn key to on position. Wait for srs light to turn off. Disconnect. Wait for srs light to turn on. Connect. Wait for srs light to turn off. Disconnect. If srs light returns, Fault codes are still present.

Hey, I have the same code as you did, 4-5 (4 really fast flashes and 5 long ones - you said code 5-4 in the video but think you meant 4-5 since the 4 fast flashes were first). Tried resetting, but code is still there/airbag light is still on. This is a 2011 si, not sure if that matters or not. Grabbed another one of those sensors from pick own part places yesterday and going to throw it in today. Anyway, is that code 5-4 a hard code or can it be reset? This vehicle is a recent purchase and don't know the history (so don't know if something happened to set off that sensor or it's just an issue with the sensor). Thanks. EDIT: BTW, that pinout of the OBDII port is completely wrong. Was trying and trying to do the code read procedure and it wouldn't work. The diagram you have up seems to be the wiring pinout and not the pinout of the connector as you would look at it. Might want to update your diagram man. This is the diagram that I ended up using here: www.etechnophiles.com/obd2-connector-pinout-types-codes/ EDIT2: The first diagram you have up is right it seems (though it doesn't show the notch which is a good guide because a lot of times the connector can be oriented in different positions). But the second picture you flash up is clearly wrong (the one with the red marks on the wrong pins). Of course this was the one I had your video paused for LOL. But I would change it man. Don't think I screwed anything up shorting out the wrong pins but you never know with this sort of crap.
