Thank you for this video Georgie boi. It's inspired me to get back to listening to photography related podcasts. I also heavily relate to the passage you said. It's happened to me with the first ever project that I'm doing. It was first about my personal life, but as I kept getting further into it, I realized there was a bigger message to be said for everyone to hear. Again thank you for motivating me to get back on the saddle. Much love.

I've been watching your vids since you did a cheap film comparison years ago, but I don't think I've ever commented. These cynical, 'seen it all' eyes of mine found those landscapes quite profound. I think you may be right. Your way of expressing your thoughts pictorially on the issues for your generation is quite compelling. Can you wait until your generation comes to power, or do you have to speak to my generation now? Well, you spoke to me, today, now. Thank you, and I wish you well.

Hi George, there was a lot in that video. I enjoyed it a lot. And as for the half frame ... hope you have fun with it! From the 10x8 to half frame, quite a change. I have one of those very unusual Samurai 3 cameras.

If you’re not already, you really should listen to Ben Smith’s podcast A Small Voice. London based, but interviews with famous and semi-famous photographers from all over the world. Over 100 fantastic episodes. As a side note, it has great audio quality which isn’t always the case with podcasts. It’s by far my favorite photography podcast and among the top 5 podcasts I listen to. Highly recommended.

The Yashica is an excellent half frame camera (72 ish photo's on a 36 frame roll of film). Study the menu and you can get it to take long exposures :-)

I love the idea of using 8x10 film camera and its stunning power to create high definition photos showing pollution (by the way thanks for learning me this expression "fly tip") Now to something different, the Yashica samourai is a half format so you can shoot 72-75 photos on a 36 frames film but the quality is a bit poor, hope you've got a good scanner. There used to be some wide angle and tele lens that were screwed on the standard lens, got them at a time... A nice challenge with this camera would be to shoot a whole long summer day making a photo each 20 minutes or such. Tomorrow I'll be shooting blooming cherry trees with my 8x10 Sinar P, you give me courage to hang on with this heavy equipment, Thanks !
