I live in rural Montana. Not a lot of black folks. About twenty years ago I was a 9-1-1 operator and had a frantic call from a convenience store clerk reporting a drive off. The call was liberally salted with the N-word and general profanity as the caller screamed about the “theft”. Me: Ma’am, please calm down and let me get some information. Her: a car full of N- just stole some gas. Me: Can you describe the car? Her: It was full of N-. Me: What color is the car? Her: I don’t know. White? It was full of N-. Me: Did you get the license plate number? Or what state it was from? Her: It was headed East and full of N- I did get enough useful info to relay the (clearly non-emergency) information to highway patrol who stopped the vehicle about 30 miles down the road. (Standard procedure at the time, nothing to do with the skin color of the occupants). They were very gracious when he asked them about it and showed him their receipt. She was so focused on their skin color she didn’t notice who was driving the car that actually drove off without paying. I took some very disturbIng calls over the years; murders, hostage situations, domestic violence , but that one still sticks in my mind. So hateful, so unnecessary.

If you’re interested, I honestly suggest looking up such stand up comedians on Netflix, KZbin, Spotify or anywhere else you might find. Witty geniuses. I remember to saw something similar on reddit: Operator: 911 what is your emergency? Caller: there is black man outside my house walking down the street, send someone here! Operator: *proceed to send a black police officer to the house*

omg im dying lmao so awesome

Better: This black guy is a policeman. And the operator send’s him to the house.

I wonder if hiring and dispatching more black police officers would help mitigate those situations. Especially when dealing with "Karen's" or community disturbances.
@lavenderjade84 жыл бұрын
@@beaniepq sounds like a good idea to me :D smart thinking
@nora220004 жыл бұрын
@@beaniepq No. Black police officers often outdo the white or Asian ones on mistreating black, disabled and gay citizens to prove they belong to the group. It's about fascism, not about color.

If they did things like that we’d save ourselves so much time and trouble. Could not stop laughing throughout.

Well, emergency line could actually benefit from this no-nonsense type of operator to be honest, oh and watching her riding the car with the siren on to get the black dude in the benz would be hillarious :v
