Respect to all the brave men and women who died that day but what about the innocent Muslims who died in Iraq, Afghanistan and The ones who were arrested, tortured and killed? I'm not American and I know how you guys feel. I'm not trying to say 9/11 wasn't a big deal or anything. It was, but Innocent women and children die every month in 3rd-world countries and no one seems to give a fuck. I'm against giving other peoples lives more value just because they are American and BEYOND!

I wasn't there, but I remember being on the bus to a field trip that day. Dad was flying into NYC for work, luckily his plane had already landed when the hijackings occurred, but we didn't know that. I want to personally Thank Colin for sharing his experience of that fateful day. Wow. I cannot imagine what Colin experienced given his father was a firefighter and he knew so many firefighters through him. The "deafening silence" comment is truly chilling. It's important to remember that greater Washington, D.C. and rural Pennsylvania also dealt with this day on perhaps a more personal level than the rest of the country as well.

I was only 8 years old on September 11th, 2001. I grew up in Bloomington, MN, a suburb known only for "The Mall." Thomas Burnett Jr., one of the heroes of Flight 93, grew up less than a mile from where I lived. His parents still get their porch covered in flowers every year. I remember having the "Thomas Burnett Day of Service" every year in school. We'd get the day off classes to go do community work- stuffing envelopes to raise money for a good cause, things like that. Every time someone brings up 9/11 I am incredibly proud just to be from the same town as a man who showed so much courage. R.I.P. Thomas Burnett Jr.

I do agree with Colin on being there, I wasn't, I'm from Colorado and when the shooting happened in the movie theater awhile ago, I lost it and it is because of who you might know and what if. It is most def attached with what your used to, whether that is patriotism, you relate to what you're effected by. I also loved the compelling factor, it means nothing of what you know if you cannot see what happened in front of you. Good conv, I was in my 7th grade geography class when I heard about the news. I don't know why there was a entire subject devoted to geography and not just part of history, another frightening aspect about my youth, but thank you Colin and Greg for everything you've shared so far. It doesn't matter if it's sentimental or silly, you guys are always part of my tues and thurs mornings. Thank you for not letting that change.

As a current member of the us army. I want to start off by saying that colins dad is a true American hero. I agree with colin on pretty much everything and am glad that he was able to speak his mind. Many people may never know what it is like to hear those bagpipes play but there is nothing like it absolutely heart wrenching. I thank you guys for your show and watch it all the time. There are many of us who still fight for true freedom and I hope those who watched this and thought negatively about our countries militarily knows that we do not all have the same mind as our leaders.

I was in 5th grade and no one was really talking about it. I heard about a building collapsing in the middle of the day at some point while eavesdropping on a teacher (my aunt) and the librarian. I then got to hear the bigger story by my aunt and the librarian talking after school. I got home and my other aunt had it on TV. That is when I really saw and understood what happened. I couldn't help but watch it over and over. It was so sad but so unbelievable.

I remember going back through old files on my computer and finding a crappy old Paint file that was a tribute to 9/11. I was about 12 years old at the time and was having a good chuckle at my 12 yr old self. After looking at it for awhile, however, I remember what I was feeling at the time of making it. Kind of an eerie feeling, but powerful. I remember forcing myself, back then, to realize that this was the most horrific attack that has ever happened on American soil. Still hard to frame it that way years later.

I was in kindergarten, the teacher called us in from recess and turned on the news. My mom picked me up from school and took me home. Trust me, it affected people nation-wide. For someone who lived in the UK, the London bombings were terrifying and truly shocking. We lost many that day and ofcourse while it was not on the same sort of scale as 9/11 it was still a powerful enough event to cripple England. My thoughts go out to everyone who was affected by these traumatizing events, the victims families and those who lost their lives.
@TheDeadreckoning66611 жыл бұрын
Colin got a lot more personal than he needed to. I appreciate how open he was in this video. Although I'd love to hear Colin's views on whether 9/11 was an inside job in a future conversation, this conversation was clearly about the emotional aspect of that day...not who is to blame for it.
@R0bDC11 жыл бұрын
I agree with Colin, I had no emotional connection in New York. And I am truly sorry for the lives that were taken; fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, grandparents, children. Etc. but no one will ever understand how Colin, or his father, a New Yorker or a firefighter felt that day. It is truly a tragic event that will haunt the memories of thousands who experience it first hand.

As a Brit even I remember 911 and how awful it was. My entire school closed and we gathered in the IT centre with projectors to see what was happening, the religious went and prayed and all life came to a standstill whilst we hoped as many people as possible survived. It was an awful day and I am afraid that Colin is correct, the terrorists did win that day.

I'm only 20 but I remember being a little brazilian and watching this shit on the news. It was so scary mother didn't even let me go to school that day, and although I couldn't really understand what was going on, the moments when the second airplane hit and when that beast of a fucking tower came down were just horrifying. On a more cheery note, I'd like to know about what Colin thinks the worst features in game are ? What makes him hate a video game ?
