I too loved them as a kid, and my enjoyment of them also waned as I got older. I still love Episode 1 for some reason (probably just nostalgia), and 3 isn't a horrid film, but the dude who played adult Anakin is such a horrible actor that it ruins whatever scene he's in. 2 was just terrible. I guess if you take them as their own set of films the trilogy isn't that bad, but when you look at them as Star Wars films they just don't fit. They don't do the world justice. 7 did, 8 was abysmal :/. We'll see how 9 goes, but the way Solo turned out (which should've been easy to make into a classic) I'm concerned. Disney is just fucking everything up with everything they do

It's weird to see this again long after the one controversial tweet that catalyzed big changes in Colin and Greg's relationship. First I sticked with Kindafunny and Greg (and others) but then I shifted to Colin and his Side Quest podcast. Neither has resonated with me as much after the departure but Greg even less since he feels more commercial nowadays. I miss the simpler times of Beyond but changes are inevitable.

Yoda vs the emperor was cool, but it could've been handled better to not have Yoda use a light saber but I still don't get why people think him fighting ruins the character he's a Jedi master and we know what their weapon of choice is a light saber! Why make an exception to that rule?

This is HILARIOUS! Greg is me, and Colin is my buddy. Both of us grew up on Star wars, I accept the new ones, faults and all, he hates them. I thought episode 3 was the best of the new ones too Greggy. The only thing I really disliked about the new ones, other than Jar-Jar(but like Greg noted was no worse than the ewoks)was Annikan's fall to the dark side was so weak. But I cant live with it. I just want more wizards in space.
