This is for all you Expos fans from a lifelong Cardinal fan - Montreal had a strong ball club from '79 thru the '80s. Of all the teams the Redbirds faced, it was Montreal I hated to see on the schedule. Always tough, smart and good for 9 full innings of fight. It's a ream shame the franchise moved. Your team was special.

The Montreal Expos vs the St-Louis Cardinals during that era was really old school Baseball with all those stolen base with Raines, Leflore, Scott, McGee, Coleman, Smith, those Baseball games were really exciting, I grew up in the 80, see ya from Montreal.

This is when baseball was still cool...being a BIG Exposfan back in the day (early 80s)..love seeing these old clips..and hearing Vin Scully & Joe Garagiola call the game doesnt suck..:>D

Vin and Joe seldom call backup games. Final backup game as a duo occurred when the Cards faced the Mets while Ted (fill-in for Bob Costas) teamed with Tony. I could imagine how Vin reacted; recall that he bolted from CBS because he was taken a backseat to Pat Summerall. He would not settle for second-best.
