thanks man, great memories of these seasons. I just viewed the 16-08-89 game Larry's MLB debut ! what a week - the Dave Dravecky arm break then playing this interesting LA team. Dad had season tix around section 317 until 1994. cheers.

WOW, I DO remember that poor Dave Dravecky injury (from the previous game) like it was yesterday _ his left humerus bone snapped in two with the sound echoing thruout the Big Owe ! His left arm and shoulder being amputated in 1991.

Just like the Quebec nordiques, Montreal deserves to have a team.

The fans and all teams were screwed out of 1994, but - Montreal & Tony Gwynn were inhumanely screwed the most. 1994 would have been one special season, one for the ages. Major League Baseball commited the ultimate sin by denying the fans of that, and they didn't care.

Great story. Great year. There needs to be a visionary investor to bring baseball back to where Jackie Robinson began to play pro ball. Montreal should have an MLB team.

It is hard to believe that today marks 20 years that the Expos played their last game in Montreal, this team could have been more than just a team cursed by the '94 Strike. Gosh, I miss the Expos.

My dad loves the montreal expos. Every time he watches this documentary, he gets emotional. Back in the day, he would take the greyhound from ottawa to montreal and watch expos at Jarry Park .

Maybe the team would’ve had more money for 1995 if the fans had come out in 94. 11th out of 14 in the NL in attendance. That’s embarrassing

Blue Jays fan til death but it will always embarrass me how they muscled the Expos into broadcast oblivion. Anyone who just wants to pin the departure of the Expos on the fanbase need to watch from 24:01 to 25:05.

Still remember that game like it was yesterday. Watched it at my Uncle’s house in SoCal and won’t forget how both of us (originally from Montréal) went crazy when Floyd hit that 💣 - it was that moment when I thought that this was our year. 😢

Disappointed this didn’t go into the transaction with Jeffrey Lurie more and how he cut out French broadcasts, nonetheless alienating the French-Canadien following of the expos

Sammy Sosa as a leadoff hitter. The loaded Expos who were robbed of an opportunity to win the World Series. Interesting times. Still could never figure out why they couldn't wait until AFTER the season to negotiate a contract. The strike in August was the dumbest thing ever.

I do not buy the argument: "Well, everyone else was juicing so at least 50% of pitchers he faced were also on the sauce". It is the easiest way for baseball fans to not have to take a moral stand and keep Barry Bonds out because it is the right thing to do. There were plenty of players who didn't juice. A kid I faced in high school several times was indicative of how bad cheating is. Harry (Junior) Herndon had only about 50 IP for the Padres in 2000-2001. I KNOW he never juiced because his parents were very strict, and he was so naive he thought "buying juice" meant buying Creatine. He got lit up by guys who were named as steroid cheaters, demoted, and never played again. Those runs he gave up did not happen in a vacuum. For every home run, someone's ERA went up. Mr. Herndon never made more than about $300k playing the game. BUT, he did it the right way. He and others like him were robbed of any career they could have had in the game. Saying that other players did it does not make it right.
