I thought what you call here the paralax move is actually called a Dolly Zoom or the Vertigo shot, effect. Because Hitchcock first used it in his movie Psycho..

@Adrian Torro very easy. Camera on tripod. One guy operates the camera and another guy uses the drums. Next shot with gimbal again two guys. Nothing simpler.

Of course Jacques Crafford, the parallax zoom with "Jaws" and Martin Brody (Body...) on the beach, but for info years before Welles in "Citizen Kane" with Kane in his famous political speach's climax ! As for me the fact is that we always have to find the well (Wells...) integration of the technical shot within the idea of the shot and the scene. Those movies are exemples of course : one idea per shot = what idea at first and then what kind of shot ? Now it also happens that the reverse is possible, namely that a plan can give a good idea - happy accidents are to be seized 🙂 So let's jump into mise en scene 🤠 Thanks for your tutorials it's really nice 🍻

Yann! Thanks so much for your feedback. I've never seen Citizen Kane but it looks like there's a gap in my education. I'm going to try and watch it soon but it looks epic. I just remember seeing the shot in Jaws thinking, this is crazy but we all steal somewhere and sometimes it's important to know where it comes from :)

@@jacques_crafford I've studied CK shot by shot with my old master in films (a close friend of Truffaut, Steven S) and it's the most complex movie, sooo take care of your brain 🤒 CK is for the individual, for a couple you've to watch the short of Max Ophüls "The model", and the equivalent in quality for society is "La règle du jeu" of Jean Renoir. Thank you! Top shelf content. We're you involved in the K-way ads that's been doing the rounds on social media by any chance?

🔴 This is my 2nd time looking at this video. The first I looked at it, I am not sure but I stopped watching it. I think something came up and I just forgot to return to it. Jacques, I viewed it in full today. This was a truly great video, that for making and taking the time to show. I quite like your deconstruct which you hardly see or at least I have not seen too much on this channel. I do have questions to ask you but honestly with exception of Hugh Brownstone at "Three Blind Men and An Elephant" no one have ever responded to a question so I just don't ask. Continued success! Very nice work.

I am still learning. Long to go. Started a cinematic Burj Khalifa in Dubai, challenging since drone is not allowed in Dubai.
