Casper was such a tough, hard nosed bad ass. Those raider teams were hard chargers and fun AF to watch. The two most underrated TEs ever to play imo were Casper and Bavarro.

Mike Silver just says dumb stuff. In an era when TEs were an afterthought..... Ditka, Mackey, Charlie Sanders, Jerry Smith, Jackie Smith, Ted Kwalick, Bob Tucker, Ron Kramer, Bob Trumpy, Raymond Chester. All of these guys were stars in the NFL before Casper played a snap. I love the "like a pickup over a rooster" quote from the Snake.

Dave Casper gave Raider fans a lot of thrills, but he also was "The Big Miss" by no fault of his own. He sat on the bench for his first 2 seasons. Coaching error there. And if he would've stayed with the Raiders he would've got to play with Jim Plunkett. I'm grateful to have seen The Ghost to the Post game. Wholy Roller play was rubbish.
