If you had told 2018 Kara and Nate that 2024 Kara and Nate would be complete sell outs they would have believed it
@DoloresJNurss6 ай бұрын
@@RustbustersCA What are they selling out, exactly? A sell-out starts with a principle that gradually gets lost and eventually betrayed by the pursuit of money. Kara and Nate started out just having a good time traveling the world and sharing the experience with others, out to see how long they could keep on doing it. Along the way they discovered that they could make traveling pay for itself, through advertising and various other commercial ventures. Pursuing money has never compromised their goal of traveling and expanding other people's horizons along with their own.
@RustbustersCA6 ай бұрын
@@DoloresJNurss the fact that they can not say a negative thing in ANY of their videos because they are being paid endorsers each and every time. Nate is such a cheap ass he'd rather just do a commercial that he doesn't have to pay for.
@bogdanmanea8782 ай бұрын
@@RustbustersCAdude if i want to see people saying negative stuff, i look on google reviews. They are doing content for the majority of people, they goal is not to feed pros and cons, they just show us cool stuff. It is strange that in 2024 some people are so slow that they believe the fact that you can just travel the world without sponsors, without doing a side business and without trying to secure a future for your family. If their videos will no longer be succesfull in 2026 are you going to send them money ?

@pattiquinn96196 ай бұрын
I begrudgingly agree. However, I 100% support both Kara and Nate considering their mental health and making the positive decision to reduce their content ❤. I work in the restaurant industry and I typically work 60 plus hours a week. It’s beyond exhausting. While both Kara and Nate may seem to be always having fun travelling, I can only IMAGINE how much time it takes to having the camera in the right position at the right time, never mind having to edit the content for our free viewing pleasure. So it’s with much love that I accept them choosing to do a biweekly video ❤
@zzzzzx79036 ай бұрын
They just need different tactics. They settled on ~30 min/clip but it doesn't have to be a clip per trip, or 4 😃 I can be two - simple. Also it doesn't have to be all trips. For example it would be good to find a local (OK US :-) partner to do a custom camper conversion inspired by this Unimog's design concept - height packing. Say 2 ft smaller wheel diam but 2ft taller bed area. A lot efficiencies will come to mind as soon as they are not limited to "garage build" and can have a custom made cabin. And would be good promo for the company that helps the project, and a future commercial product. Worth 4-8 clips in one block and can be done in parallel with trips. Plus road trips latter with the gear no one has.
@jeffreycox94986 ай бұрын
Reddit is 100% convinced that Nate is practically abusing Kara with the expectation that they, I don't know, work? I think cutting it down to a video every two weeks is very wise, but Reddit seems convinced that he's holding her hostage or something. The hivemind is truly bizarre.

Ali selflessly dedicating his day to helping couple strangers in need is a greater reflection of Omani hospitality. After fleeing civil war in Lebanon, we lived across the Middle East, including three years in Muscat, Oman, before settling in the US. I will always remember the Omani people for being some of the friendliest and most hospitable in the region. It’s a standard custom to treat tourists in their country as they would a guest in their home. Ali did a great job representing the best of Omani values, just as Kara and Nate always do a great job representing the best of American values wherever they go! Hi. I think it is a little missunderstanding for the audiance to say, the Unimog ( Univerial Motor Tool) started out as a military ambulance ;-) this specific one was one. the Unimog started in 1948 as a farm vehicle, because in Germany we were not allowed to build big motors for anything from the other militarys ( french, english and of course USA). so especialy for tractors or trucks. So because you wondered because of the strange gear setting with 8 forward and 8 backward gears... that is the reason it was made for farm and Utility vehicle. Now a days the Unimog has so much usecases its mindblowing. From Military with ambulance to technision version with a backbuget, official version for street cleaning to sidestripe mowing or snowclearing. And there are a lot of betwenn tools you can hook up in front and back.

Great Video!!! I’m sure I’m not going to be the only person to say this, but in case no one else has yet: Please DO NOT take off your seatbelt while in off-road mode. By remaining seat-belted in place a couple of things will be good: 1. If the vehicle should roll over, you will be far safer not flopping about in the cabin or falling out of the vehicle, which will both cause much more injury. 2. If the vehicle should lurch side to side abruptly, then you will stay in place and not injure yourself or the other person. Under no circumstances should you attempt to exit the vehicle in the event of an impending incident, as you will likely sustain more severe injuries than having stayed seat-belted to the vehicle. You both are amazing and I love your content. Stay safe! Cheers!!

Oman looks a lot like Utah, Arizona, Nevada. Cept for the camels. That was some intense bioluminescence. And that conversion is pretty kewl too. As much as I love the 1st class plane and train travels, I enjoy the more outdoorsy adventures. I just laughed out loud thinking that Kara n Nate flew over on a fancy flight. Ahh what a fantabulous life Kara n Nate have attracted/co created. I Love seeing, meeting and especially hanging out with people that are not too afraid to try different things, with passion even. I went for 1 month vacation to Belize and Guatemala in 2015. I have been back 3xs to visit friends and family in the States since then. I'm a cripple, walk w/2 canes so I stick around places I really like for a time. 2 yrs is the longest I have stayed in 1 place since 2009. I turned up the gypsy in me now that I'm retired/disabled. I love watching Kara n Nate. I can't do these things and its so neat to see their videos. I kinda live vicariously thru them. Life is so awesome

Really do love that these videos have become almost like a letter to your past selves.

I love your stuff…. That said, when you rent these vehicles, the videos feel like advertisement for the company’s product. I’m realizing I get sad when the video is just telling me about a product.

I don’t see it that way. They’re being honest and showing an extremely unique experience that most people won’t get to have

I get it, but can you blame them though? if some company wants to sponsor you, and this is your main livelihood, you'd be stupid to not do it.

It is just the part when. They made 3 videos about the trip. They always shows the vehicles and the cool accommodations where they are

@@ladiidoodi7468but the video already has a sponsor, AG1. A disclosed official sponsor. I think if there’s a problem, it’s that they don’t announce the overlander company or whatever as an additional sponsor/ad. It also means the video has 2 sponsors/ads and I understand why for some people that feels a bit excessive?

Ok maybe I’m dumb but why did Nate tell Kara to take the seatbelt off and know where the door handle is? In case they needed to jump ship?

Yep😬

This was so cool! When you were going down the mountain I grabbed onto my counter so I wouldn’t slide forward. Better than any roller coaster! Love the goats, the rig and the beach with the bioluminescence. Thank you!
