@Free Gold Investment Kit thank you, me too. I've been in menopause since I was 39 and I'm 46 now. I'm on a natural hormone pellet and testosterone was one of them. I thought I was going to start losing weight and gain muscle again but nope. He keeps repeating what blue berries said above, don't do this or that and exercise. Everything he mentioned I do right. Anyhoo, useless.
@theetherealwatcher29535 жыл бұрын
@@TheSnflwr it's a bad idea to come to "Bright Side" for advice. It's hardly ever good. Hormone balance is really complicated. This video doesn't mention that all these hormones are affected by other hormones differently, some more so than others. Estradiol stimulates weight loss through insuline efficiency increase, but with Prolactin it stimulates weight gain. Testosterone can be rendered ineffective due to Prolactin (as Prolactin decreases muscle mass while Testosterone improves it) however, Prolactin by itself is not responsible for gaining weight. In fact it's encouraging a sugar release for muscles to use, meaning that it can lead to weight loss in men who don't eat much. Prolactin cancels out Cortisol, another hormone notorious for weight gain. It's not all that easy if you have to go through a similar checklist with every hormone you have.

Brain injury is another way for everything to get out of whack. Progesterone also causes blood clots (not always a good thing to take supplements or medications for) - there are so many things that add weight on. You do the exercise you Can perform. However, Scoliosis/ back trouble patients are Not encouraged to do aerobic exercise. This is where gentle stretching and swimming help.
@Ax.DaEdge Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this tid-bit. I was actually looking up any correlation between Strokes & brittle hair/ hormone imbalance, etc. Really appreciate this.
@lisarice4402 Жыл бұрын
@Ax. DaEdge - no problem 😉 - you learn, re-learn, and are encouraged to research any questions you have when you are undergoing brain rehab after injury. ( a small clue - when brain damage occurs, you tend to do better and much clearer during mid-morning through early afternoon hours with plenty of rest between first awakening and earlier settling down for sleep at night in between - that’s why my comments seem so “smart” … later in the day, the difference is woah 😏). Seriously, it’s not all bad - it just takes a while longer to get the point across we are trying to make. I can speak to you from my severe TBI experience - however, in brain rehab, the patients weren’t split apart based on injury and how it was received; not only do you have to do that learning of the mechanics of your injury, you have to learn how to separate your feelings also - just like a baby again. It is extremely helpful to be rehabbed in this manner because it helps you realize the seriousness of your injury and how you have to train yourself to keep up your health every way that you can, and are physically able to do without hurting yourself further.
@lisarice4402 Жыл бұрын
I can also tell you that any type of brain injury affects your hormone balance, immune system, vitamin stores within the body, etc., even the way your brain mechanically operates. I wouldn’t be surprised at all of your theory on brittle bones and strokes; research the “Bigs” (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Mayo, etc. & all of the medical establishments you respect to dig a little deeper until you get your answer - I am confident you already know that though)

Actually, all this eating of fruits and vegetables is not all that good for people who are allergic to latex as a lot of fruits and vegetables contain enough latex to trigger an allergic reaction. The list of fruits and vegetables that contain latex is quite long. So all this modern trend of eating tons of fruits and vegetables is not all it's cracked up to be. Even for people who are not allergic to latex it can cause health problems to eat tons of that stuff, one of them being getting all bloated. And fruits contain sugar by the way. Vegetables contain no calories so do not provide energy, which means soon after eating a meal of lots of vegetables one will feel hungry again - and boom, one eats even more which leads to weight gain. High estrogen does not cause weight gain by the way, quite the contrary. Estrogen deficiency causes weight gain. This is why many women put on weight during the menopause. HRT will help with that. A high testosterone level in women will also cause weight gain, which is why PCOS commonly leads to obesity. Women do not need more than the bare minimum of testosterone. Excess testosterone in women will cause, besides obesity, acne, alopecia (hair loss), hirsutism, depression, aggression and anger, excess muscle mass around the shoulders and arms, infertility and irregular periods, a deeper voice and the loss of a feminine body shape. It also leads to a reduction in life expectancy due to increased risk of heart attacks and heart disease. Exercise is also not all that healthy for women as it causes excess testosterone, which triggers the above problems. A generally active life style is better than all this exercise.
@altitudeiseverything31635 жыл бұрын
Little Kitty - Fruits and vegetables do NOT contain latex, rather *some* latex-allergic people have IgE antibodies cross-reactive to the antigens coming from some vegetable and fruits, because some of these foods contain proteins similar to that found in natural latex. Not everyone allergic to latex will react adversely to these foods. The list of latex cross-reactive fruits and vegetables is not very long and can easily be eliminated while still maintaining a diet high in fruits and vegetables. Also, if you really think that vegetables don’t contain calories, then everything in your comment is open to doubt. Indeed, root vegetables in particular (potatoes, yams, carrots, etc.), can be quite high in calories, at least compared to other whole, natural foods. And the sugar in a piece of fruit raises one’s blood sugar more slowly than processed sugar, or even sugar in fruit juice, because the fiber in fruit slows down its digestion, avoiding an unhealthy spike in blood sugar. Still the same calories, but healthier overall. Fruits and vegetables are critical for proper nutrition. And “exercise is not all that healthy for women”? Seriously?! That is the single most ridiculous - and dangerous - advice I’ve seen on the internet ....ever. SMH Btw, while it’s only anecdotal evidence, my own experience contradicts everything you said: I eat lots of fruit (while allergic to latex!); I ski, hike, cycle, weight train, & snowshoe; I’m post-menopausal; have never been on HRT; I have no symptoms that you described; and I’m very thin and, yes... “feminine”. 🙄 I’ve also noticed that my women friends who exercise vigorously and regularly are the healthiest, the happiest, and the youngest (for their age) of anyone I know.
