I did not know that you had been getting heat for sharing your faith, but as scripture tells us, “think it not strange.” It is very much because you share your faith that I was so drawn to you and you have become my favorite homesteader. I was able to hear about half of your address at a homesteaders of America meeting. You may have been one of those who came kicking and screaming into public speaking, as you said, but you have a beautiful natural gift in it and I could listen to you for hours. The only reason I didn’t get to hear your whole talk is that I would have to subscribe to homesteaders of America. It would be worth the fee required to hear you speak more, but I am on a fixed income, so must forgo that treat.

About the only two things to not do, don’t soak it in a sink of water, they easily clean out with a stainless steel scratcher and water and avoid extreme temperature change, meaning don’t take a pan from the stove and set it outside in freezing temps to cool something…..other than that they are pretty indestructible ❤ Happy cooking !

Because of a power outage while we were at church we came home to Sunday dinner not fully cooked, leaving me with one of our hens to bake and use today. I had watched your video and took this challenge. We're doing the pantry challenge too! So I made this recipe. I used the drippings/broth from baking the chicken as my liquid to make the sauce which made it so rich. We too have hogs and used our bacon for the top. Thanks for the wonderful idea! I've been wanting to get back to making my own pasta(something that I gave up when or family free to 13 children!) And was delighted with your recipe. It is a much better recipe than mine was. It used to be an ordeal with the pasta cutter but was super easy by hand like you did. It all came out great. It's a super comfort meal on a cold, damp winter night here in the mountains of east Tennessee. I wanted to put a picture here but can't seem to. Just my know it was a HIT! ❤

We use mostly cast iron for cooking. I have a Dutch Oven that was a wedding present to my maternal grandparents. I cherish it and use it regularly! ♥️👍
