Did you know Walt Disney designed the logo for “Toys for Tots”. A train, of course! He was very involved early on. The company makes a large donation every year.🚂🚂🚂

there is a brass spot just as you enter fantasy land through the castle. I call it the wishing spot, you stand on the spot, make a wish and if you time it right you hear Jiminy Cricket sing when you wish upon a star. I showed it to a newlywed couple and as they made their wish, Jiminy sang. it was Disney magical

The clock when you walk through Sleeping Beauty Castle looks like Cinderella's carriage to me. Perhaps that's why it's set to midnight? Also the glasses above the Mickey's Philharmagic theater make the pipes look like the Muppet characters Bunsen and maybe Gonzo! And the smoke stack has the same face as Beaker!

When you enter Disneyland and go down Main Street you are celebrating Independence Day. How can you tell? American flags and red, white, and blue bunting decorate the buildings. Families are together excitedly preparing for the events of the day (not at work or school). You might see a parade or a marching band on Main Street. And at the end of the day you might see a big fireworks display to celebrate the occasion.

My top is that the former restaurant next to Big Thunder Mountain, formerly the Casa de Fritos, and also formerly my favorite lunch spot there, is the birthplace of the Doritos brand tortilla chips. Second would be that the truck and mine carts outside the Indiana Jones ride are the actual props used in the movies.

I super love this video!!! My favorite trivia is the story behind the 1764 arch between the Rivers and Haunted Mansion! A friend and I use to send pages of trivia before either of us went on a trip!! I love Disneyland trivia. My second favorite is Tomorrowland. At one time all the plants were edible. Now about 80% of them are. Walt believed the world should be self-sustainable! It's just so cool and I think about it every time I walk through.

Snow Whites Grotto. I know it has been talked about. Also the edible plants in Tomorrowland. I love the road less traveled in Frontierland. I love western themed lands in a park. Disney does it BEST! They've been imitated worldwide. Knott's is authentic. One last one is the petrified tree that Lilly Disney gifted to the park in your favorite section Chris.

The fact that you tell us supportive things is so cool. The fact that you come off as so authentic when you say those things is even better. I'm a former Disneyland cast member, and I recently made friends with a former Tokyo Disneyland cast member (even though Tokyo Disneyland is run by a different company that licenses the Disney names and characters, our experiences were very similar). I try to follow your example when they have had a rough day.

Okay, now that I've watched the full video, here's my favorite piece of trivia that even Disney gets wrong. There is a coat of arms at the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle that Disney says is Walt Disney's coat of arms. That's not true. It is "A" Disney coat of arms, but not that of Walt's family. His coat of arms is different.

If you look up (relative to yourself) as you go on the loop, you can see hidden mickeys at the base of the giant poles holding uo the rollercoaster. My favorite trivia is the teletype message at New Orleans square Depot is NOT Morse code… it’s actually called Continental code, very similar to Morse code but slightly different. And there’s a rumor that Lilian Disney was a Teletype operator during the war. That the original programmers had altered Walt’s opening day speech, and he casually mentioned that fact about Lilian to them.

My favorite piece of Disney trivia is that the organ in the Haunted Mansion is the same one used in the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. LOL that song at the end made me giggle. Too cute. I'm trying to think...I'm always amazed by the trivia about the plants. I never realized before I read the fact, that Disneyland is considered one of the largest parks in the world and/or has the largest amount of plant species. I think you did a full video on this and/or the top 10 trees or something but I really loved that video. Like the tree with the oil pipe in it and the oldest Palm tree on the property from the one family in Adventureland. I guess I like it because you know we get so focused on the rides and attractions and food and buildings but the plants really do add quite a bit to the experience, year round!

Thank you for those kind words during your video! They were unexpected but something I totally needed to hear. Right now I'm definitely that student stressing out over tests as the semester comes to a close. As for favorite trivia/facts... I'm always been enamored by the existence of the Disneyland cats. It's interesting to me that they're referred to as employees of the park... wouldn't they be... Cat Members? ;) I also think it's nice that if the cats become comfortable around humans or they accidentally have a litter those cats/kittens are given out to cast members. Imagine being able to say your cat was born in Disneyland!

Hi there... I love the trivia facts you showed in this video. Although.... I think another piece of trivia to include that wasn't mentioned is the Golden spike on the floor directly below the tunnel entrance at Sleeping Beauty's Castle. I went on Space Mountain as a CM during a couple weeks before it opened. It was fast - Very fast! Too fast in fact. The reason? The material that was used for the wheels (nylon I think) was wearing off causing a sort of non-friction or “teflon” effects so the sleds were going quite a bit faster than the 32mph it was designed for. I recall stepping off with other CM friends and we were shaking after a very turbulent, but very exciting ride. They had to replace all the wheels prior to opening to the public.

I’ve tried to think of a Disneyland piece of trivia that you’ve never mentioned (which is really hard because you’ve taught me so much). You’d have to double check, but I believe the water from the Storybook ride flows to the castle moat which then flows to Jungle Cruise which then flows to the River’s of America. And then it gets pumped back up to Storybook again.

Walt's apartment in NOS. The family's apartment on the beginning of Mainstreet. The fact that Disneyland was set up like a movie, and that all the names on the windows on Main Street symbolize the movie credits at the beginning of a movie, as its the beginning of Disneyland as you enter the park. The family bathroom at the Plaza stage, private, huge and no one uses it! The bench on the porch on Mainstreet is the BEST place for parades and to people watch. You just need to snag it early and then send someone across the street for snacks! :), And just as a tip, bring regular snacks (like chips, water etc) and get a locker. Dont waste your money on regular candy, chips etc at the park. Save you $$ for the exclusive Disneyland treats. Also, bring a second pair of shoes, socks, coat etc and get the big locker...easy and cheap!

Three things. The Opera House where Mr Lincoln is located is the only full size building on Main Street as it was the saw mill during Disneyland's construction. The second story was used if not still now for the Disney telephone operators. Second, the building on Main Street where you find a porch with a bench use to sell lingerie and featured the "Wizard of Bras". Third, there is a store on Main Street across from The Mad Hatter which usually sells seasonal merchandise was at one time a restaurant that specialized in breakfast foods and the place inside the store where you can now have items embroidered like sweatshirts and other clothing was the omelette station.

Really enjoyed your Churo Space mountain challenge. Are you going to do something similar in the future?

I like the fact that older rides' vehicles were interchangable and that they put teacups on HM, which inspired the ride vehicles for Car Toon Spin. I also like the brass waterfountains in the mornings right after they are shined (also, when did they remove the fountain by HM?) I also like the little tree that divides Frontierland and NOS.

do you have a source for the teacups on the HM thing? that sounds super interesting and i’d love to read up on it

My favorite trivia are the three character heads on plaques from Bear Country Jamboree that are in the Winnie The Pooh ride (which was where BCJ use to be)... you only see them if you look behind yourself as you enter one of the rooms.

Love ur videos and thank u Chris for telling us so sweet things. My whole family got sick this past month and my dad is still recovering in the hospital from pneumonia, it's been hard with all of us out of work. But ur videos always brighten up my day. Thank u! A trivia fact I think is cool is how there are many feral cats running around Disneyland and why they are there and been there for years! But I want to know why do many ducks are running around there...

My favorite is while riding the train through the Grand Canyon. There is a bullet shatter in the glass. Been there as long as I can remember
