Hi. I started in November 2020. I really and truly like your grey hair. It is very pretty.

I'm 60 now and grey but when I was in my 30s my hair went grey the same way as yours...on the top mainly and it spread out very gradually to the sides and finally to the back of my head. But it's a very narural elegant silver now. Dont worry...you will grey beautifully in a way that suits you. Trust it. Really admire what you're doing!

I’m 32 and have never dyed my hair (aside from bright purple in 9th grade, which was fun but the bleach absolutely destroyed my hair). Just starting to get some noticeable grays, and I’m actually kind of excited because it looks like I might end up with a nice streak on the front left side. Once I have some more, I want to play around with some temporary dyes in fun colors! But I have always planned to embrace my natural grays whenever they appear. I honestly expected it to happen much earlier, because my mom went gray quite young. I think the combination of expecting to go gray young and my mom not dying her hair have really helped me embrace my hair as is. It’s wonderful to see other women do the same! Your hair is beautiful and I love your gray pattern.

Thank you, Leah! I knew I had a high chance of going grey early but definitely did not prepare myself as gracefully as you described 😂 We're only ready when we're ready!

I’ve only discovered your channel yesterday and you really put a lot of thoughts in my brain! I have actually decided not to colour my hair anymore. The grey hair I have are on top of my head. I really enjoy your videos. I wish you every success with your channel.

My grey hair is mostly on the top like yours too.It’s satisfying to not be a slave to dying your hair.I’m growing blonde hair dye out and I’m about 9 months in too.More free time and money 😃

It’s beautiful! I feel like a wimp to have waited this long. I am 58 and finally have the guts! I know my pattern only 2 months in. White. White. Dash of silver at the bottom back. 😂 your hair is lovely!!

Thank you so much for doing this video. I have been thinking about letting my natural hair grow out for some time, but seeing my pattern before it was time to dye always stopped me. My pattern is exactly like yours. I'm 45 and the top of my head went grey about 10 or a bit more years ago, but nowhere else really. When I see those videos where other women grow out their grey hair and it becomes a beautiful silver colour, I always said that "well mine wouldn't look like that" so I never had the courage. But thanks to you, I'm getting there. :)

It means a lot to me that you are feeling more courageous! You are definitely not alone ❤️

Mine is doing the same thing exactly. It is funny to wish I had more grey after covering it up for so long. It makes me wonder what the switch flip was.

That is funny to think about. Wishing it was not grey then wishing it was more grey 😂

Hi! I've decided start with my "journey" 3 months ago, with many doubts, fears and questions. Thanks for your videos, they help me a lot and make me continue with it! My pattern is the opposite, although i'm "salt and pepper", i have more white hair on the sides! Kisses from Spain ;)

I have that face-framing streak! It’s growing in nicely but I felt you on that heart dropping realization there’s still so much to go! 😂😭 This journey is definitely an exercise in patience! Thanks for another interesting video!

I’ve just made a commitment this week to stop dying my hair. I.m all about Less and don’t want the maintenance anymore. I turn 48 this week and I’m naturally mouse dark blonde, (been dying it light blonde for many years) so my few greys around my front and few on sides will now start standing out way more, but I’m going to embrace it rather than be annoyed by it. Here’s to my next chapter of salt & pepper!

Hi. I just started watching you because I myself am 10 months "in" - growing my gray out. I'm also learning to trust my body and myself...and finding out what/WHO I would be if I didn't DO ALL THOSE THINGS TO MYSELF ( that I did for years...WHYYYY?) ... being fake nails, hair color and ...excessive exercise. NO MORE. So, in a way you could say I've never "met" myself because I've been SO busy putting time money and energy into trying to look/be uh...not the REAL me. My gray pattern is exactly the same as yours! I'm so curious as to how it will look / but I like our pattern. I plan to wear my hair up or in a French braid and then when I have it all grown out (in 5 years/I have waist length hair so this is going to take patience) I'll get a final cut and wear it down all the time. Thanks for posting this. You're fun to watch - and not overly chatty...about yourself.

I'm so glad to hear you are finally "meeting" yourself ❤️ I think the french braid idea is great!

I’ve been about a year dye free and I had to tell everyone-I am not going to dye my hair anymore-and their remarks - what! you should totally dye it 🤦🏻♀️-and if I didn’t tell them-they were like “ looks like you need a touch up- I wish my hair grew faster but I literally have maybe 2” of grey and dark brown grown out- so it’s going to take me forever! - like you my hair underneath is much more of the dark brown than the gray. I am really liking the white in front though. Keep going I think it’ll look great when you get there.

Mine is actually like yours, I don't have as many as you have since I'm just 30, but I can see my head looking like yours in 5 years

Most of my grey hair is around the temples and the front sections. I'm 45. It's a lot lighter around the sides of my bangs and dark in the middle. Your hair looks great by the way. 😀

OK.... I had to share this with you... (Besides re arranging your pillows) I used to hate seeing my grow out part... Now I'm looking every day to see in excitement.... Baby steps... and honestly I'm embracing this and looking forward to the change... (JUST hurry up would ya hair? LOL)

Great point about the excitement seeing it grow vs before when it was dread.
@patriciaplus-one4 жыл бұрын
That is so true. My gray is different than yours. My side, by the temples is very white, like most people. I have a dark strip on my right side, if I part my hair on the middle, the right side is darker and the left side more white. the back is darker than the front.
@DitchingDietsDye4 жыл бұрын
So interesting about how your hair looks lighter or darker depending on where you part it!

I am 35 and i stop dying my hair since i was 33. My pattern is like yours. However, i would have expected long grey hair by this time but no. My hair grows up 5 cm of grey and then it comes out as brown other 5 cm or viceversa or dark. Anyways i love it and i really do not want to go back to be dying.

I'm 37, almost 2 yrs into my no dye and I'm more salt than pepper. As for my pattern, I would say the love child of (I mean if possible, relax purists), if your familiar with the marvel Xmen character Rogue that has that white slash infront and the white haired witcher then I think you've hit the mark, with a skunk slash of brown on the undercut.

I started going grey at 23 (40 next year). Yeah. I've dyed it, used highlights, lowlights, you name it. Until 18 months ago when I just said "actually, f... it" and let it grow. As it turns out, my sides are bright silver white. This was where I started noticing at 23. The top is more of a blonde-looking grey with white highlights. The back is brown with some highlights - and underneath is way darker than my natural/original colour ever was. It's an interesting look for sure. ;-)

I wonder if it has to do with sun damage, since that's the part of your hair that would get the most sun. You're fair-skinned, did you get a lot of sun growing up or in your 20s/30s?
@DitchingDietsDye4 жыл бұрын
I try to avoid the sun because of my fair skin 😂 I burn quickly, so I'm a shade girl.
