You look great! So fresh! I'm 9 months dye free and I'm loving it!

You look fantastic! I love that younger girls are breaking the stereotypes of youth. We are normalizing that gray hair is unrelated to age or health. It is just in our genes. And we look amazing with it! My mental health has improved with this transition. It made me realize that my fears of growing old were all in my head. I am still as vibrant and, yes, beautiful in my own way, regardless of what color is on my hair this week. :) Being tied to a bi-monthly program of touching up roots simply exacerbates those fears of growing old.

Happy Anniversary!! Your hair is beautiful! Just found your channel and I'm just starting my transition. I had been dying my own hair and trimming since COVID, and using root cover up's in between. But I've finally decided it's time to embrace my natural hair and I'm really enjoying your channel and the wonderful communities out there, thanks so much for sharing!

Lisa🌺 Let your great hair sparkle shine! Once I just let it go, it really felt freeing. We are all here to support you. I am two years in and I have long hair so the transition is noticeably and I love it! You got this let go of the root coverup 🙌🏻🍑Lisa

Happy anniversary! It’s been 6 months for me. But I had toyed around with the idea for two years. I’m glad to have the transformation underway. 😊

Congrats, I’m 4 months in and am loving it so far, just wear a lot of hats 😉
@mooreandless3 жыл бұрын
I agree about the hats! I'm 10 months into my transition. I had a cut 2 weeks ago and since then the hats are not needed as it now looks intentional that I'm growing out my gray. The overwhelming feeling is liberation. Best decision to embrace my gray. Good luck with yours!

thank you for sharing~ I am 30 and I don't think I will dye my hair at all (I never did) but I was lacking people that I could relate to in this matter because around me everyone dyes their hair!~ This makes me feel validated, and I hope that since I am letting it grow naturally white I will have an easier time getting used to it!~ Thank you ✨

One year dye free for me too! I thought I would have a lot more silver but it really just overall looks ash brown to me. When I was using dye my roots always seemed bright silver. I chopped my short, wear it wavy and have no regrets. I'd love to see your short wavy hair!

Congratulations! I'm 6 months dye free!! 🥳 Definitely the longest time I went without dyeing my hair! I don't find grey hair makes people look older unless they're already wrinkly and old anyway.

One year in for me and preparing for a big chop. It’s been a lot of growing personally this year because this process takes so much time.

Congratulations! Well, originally I wanted to write that sadly, I still don't have the courage as I just bought the dye to colour my hair this weekend. However... We just moved to a new house where the bathroom needs "some" renovation. So it's not the most convenient to even have shower in there. I was planning to colour my hair yesterday afternoon. But then I thought: why do I want to trouble doing it in that bathroom? It would just frustrate and stress me. And then I thought, I could use this time until we have a new bathroom to see how I feel with my hair growing out. It's been 6 weeks since my last dye and it'll be at least another 8 weeks until we have our new bathroom. So here we go...let's see how I feel. Again, thank you for the inspiration, motivation and encouragement!

Love your cut and your color! I'm one year into this too as of March 8, which ironically was also International Women's Day! Mine is also shorter than I normally wear it but I'm loving that too. It's a good change. Congrats on yours!!

Happy Anniversary! I also just past the one year mark last week. My hair color is dark brown with silvers. It's crazy because I have never felt more indecisive about anything like this in my life...there are days that I love my new color, other days that I hate it and other days that I feel blah. But I have decided that I am going to let it grow out fully then decide how I truly feel about it. I think the two tone is what I am not liking and once I am transitioned into my natural color I will be ok with it. I will say that I was losing ALOT of hair when I was still coloring it and since I stopped coloring my hair it has seems to be growing back in which is wonderful. Thank God! So good luck my fellow silver sister! We need to keep encouraging each other because this is not an easy process! I tell my friends going out your hair color is not for sissys! Lol! Cristine

Congratulations on your 1 year! I'm at almost 14 months now, most of the dyed hair has been cut off but my hair is curly so it's feeling a bit too short at the moment. I can understand why you might not be ready for the wavy look yet, for me getting used to shorter hair is almost as much adjustment as to the silver!
@lynneprivett10643 жыл бұрын
Happy anniversary! I too just passed the one year mark of no dyes. I am going all natural, meaning trying to adjust to my waves. You mentioned styling your hair wavy . Even if you aren’t ready to show that yet on your shorter hair, I’d like to know your process.

I have been dry free for about 7 years now. I started getting grey hair since I was 18.. I will be 45 next month. I have 90 % grey hair but it's saying much since I have very fine thin hair. I do try to use a purple shampoo for grey hair once a week to make it look more white and not as washed out. Are you on Instagram I like to share pictures on there

I just turned 40 this month. My greys definitely accelerated over the course of my 30s. I started covering the greys when I was 34 and did that every 5-6 weeks until March 2020.
