You do realize that the indigenous south east Asians are actually black people right? The lightskin people only arrived on the continent in the period of 9000 to 6000 years ago. By that time the first nations SE Asians from Thailand, to Malaysia, to Indonesia, to Phillipines etc. (the Aetas, Alifuru, Papuans, Timorese, Orang Asli, Pribumi for example) were already living there for 60.000+ years! Many of these SE Asian peoples that we see today are descendants of the mixing in different degrees of the indigenous and new migrants from those time periods!

As an Afro-Asian myself, it depends on the direction or predominance of a biracial Asian's biological lineage. Not all biracial Asians facial features are at mid-range between both races. As a youngster in my day, I couldn't pass for being African American, I just didn't have the features; my facial features along with hair texture was predominantly East-Asian defined, and it did cause some racial displacement for me in my younger youth. So, as far as sharing similar features, it certainly depends on the growth of a biracial Asian's physical traits from both parental lineages. For instance, one of the showcased Afro-Asians in the video, Winnie Fei-Fei, technically, she can pass for being full-fledged Chinese (putting aside how she sometimes wears her hair). At first glance, I would not have seen her as being a mixed Asian. I've seen some full-blood Chinese with her almost-same features and physical traits. But then again, that's all in the eyes of the beholder. I guess there are those that will perceive her for being other races as well.

However her skin tone could be similar to SE Asians though she wouldn't pass for one due to her hair. Like you say its in the eye of the beholder. Similarly beauty standards too are in the eye of the beholder so it is subjective. Culture plays a part in what a particular race may consider beautiful or not.
