In the video, I will use the Erth2MSFS Tool at a problematic location. The location is a minor league ballpark that has been built for seven years but not on the Bing MSFS scenery. The ballfield is below the original terrain and creates a clash when using Earth2MSFS. I explain how to resolve the issue.

Thank you for the kind words. To be honest. I am far from a natural. Videos are hard for me. It might take me from three to eight hours of editing to remove my mistakes. if only words would flow out of my mouth easier. As long as It helps people, I will keep struggling through the process. Happy flying. Never stop creating. It feeds the brain and keeps you sharp.

Well, thank you. I don't see it but I appreciate the compliment. You might think otherwise if you knew how long it takes me to edit a video from getting tongue-tied. I also have a community if you care to join. Good people who try to help others. facebook.com/groups/788136852324508

Really well explained process. I love the pace of your tutorials and the way you cover all the steps. Too many tutorials look great until you try to follow them and you discover that you get stuck as a step has been glossed over or something has been assumed. Many thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Exactly! Because of the issue, you laid it is why I use my approach. It may be repetitive but repetition leads to habits and memory.

It's good to hear somebody that speaks the Queen's English. I don't have a payment system set up but I thank you all the same. Who knows, maybe someday I will hit 1K subs and get a little back. I get a lot of enjoyment from helping others regardless.

I started doing this myself recently and I find that the earth2msfs tool imports large squares of scenery that do not neatly end at the buildings I want, unlike your demo here. How do you handle these seams between photogrammetry terrain and the edges where it abruptly ends? I ended up lowering the entire photogrammetry area so that it merges into the surrounding default terrain, and lowering the terrain under it even more to hide the terrain underneath. I’ve experimented with importing the photogrammetry into Blender and cutting off unwanted edges, but I can’t get the import/export process to work. Either it imports without textures working, or when I export MSFS can’t load the terrain.

It depends. It would be nice to see your precise situation. I have noticed that areal 3D imagery is not everywhere. I have seen abrupt endings of the 3D and in some cases through the middle of a building. When this happens I do not exclude the cut-off building with a building exclusion polygon. That helps but it is not perfect. Everything has a beginning and an ending and the 3D photogrammetry has finite borders. You are correct about the squares. It is that way because that is how the imagery is stitched together. Sometimes Change my image collection selection if I miss a building or if there is more than I need. When you draw the capture square, even if you are barely into a square, the tool will pull in the whole square. Sometimes it takes some trial and error to get what you want. Oh, and by the way, if there is no 3D photogrammetry what you pull down will be a 2D flat plane. If you send me a picture I can look into the specific area and let you know what I think. You can join the group and post or you may DM me directly. facebook.com/groups/788136852324508
