Great videos man! How do you engrave your knives?

Hey, thank you, very much appreciated. The engravings are designed by me, then done by a friend who has a laser engraving machine

I have not seen much or any liner locks or frame locks in your collection, seems like about 95% of your collection are button, axis, or compression locks. Just curious, are you not a fan of frame locks or liner locks? Surprised you even have a back lock from your delica.

Its a bit different nowadays, not as bothered by them as opposed to a year ago. I think I just went off them for a while because before I discovered the EDC world, I had a lifetime of buying occasional night market knives my whole life (lived in Malaysia for 10 years growing up in my late teens). They were all liner locks so I thought that was the only type of folding knife lock that existed (apart from ones on the bottom of traditional knives like the buck 110). So when I got into the edc world at the beginning of last year and discovered there was a world of different ones, I kinda pushed liner locks aside, and also saw frame locks as being the same thing. So yea, theres a pretty concise reason as to why, its entirely personal and so on. I actually like back locks a lot and I always have a Delica on me in my left pocket because I find them really reliable. Main carry is usually one of the ones you mentioned. But im starting to carry liner locks again. Got a great Bestech Lito recently (more of a bolster lock but still similar concept). And thats all really, I even made a video on this about 5 months ago. Hope it wasnt too long winded but that is the actual reason why lol

@ interesting. Delicas is one of my favorites. Today’s generation of liner and frame locks are different than back in the day. So much more smoother in action. You have a great collection. Thank you for sharing, I hope you continue on your journey and have fun. Thanks again.

@@royshon4164 No problem, and yea I imagine that things have changed a lot. Companies that can make a liner or frame lock slowly drop shut smoothly are more likely to get positive reviews. Anyhow thankyou, the main part as you said is to have fun, and its been great so far on the journey. All the best and have a good one 👍

great.... i didnt even know that Cold Steel Full Metal Atlas existed, been looking at duralock knives, and the Civivi fusion, i like to fidget with fun locks, but hate sheeps foot blades and Wharncliff, Like Kershaw stuff but the blade shape of the bel air , not a fan. now I see this Full Metal Atlas, that's going to be living in my head from now on, its a sexy knife.🙄

it is a very nice knife. for me its the opposite though, I love wharncliffes. But I do like interesting locks a lot, I even have a variant of the FM1 Atlas lock called the Maserin Power with its weird 'W' lock (downside is that it has no thumb studs, if it did it would be amazing) if you want to check that out. The blade shape is quite similar to the cold steel also Its definitely worth getting though, they have an uncoated option as well. Quite a unique knife that im really happy I got. Maybe something to look forward to?

@@Archetype_EDC am i crazy or are sheepfoot/wharncliff blade knives not good for stabbing? I live out in the desert and have been attacked by stray dogs before and peoples pets have been snatched by coyotes. I always have to carry a knife with a good point.Maybe i sound silly lol

@@MEEG0L Nah you dont, every one uses their edc for a different purpose. Some wharncliffes are absolutely deadly, just depends upon how their tip is shaped, A good example would be the Yojimbo by Spyderco, or the CRKT Spew. These are lethal. I said it on the first video I made on the Cold steel full metal atlas, it has serious F around and find out vibes to it. If you want one for that purpose it would be great. But yea some sheepsfoot blades are terrible for that, which is handy for some tasks so you dont stab yourself in the hand. Found that out the hard way with my Protech Malibu. Thats a wharncliffe as well with a super pointy tip. But yea based on what you said I think you will like it a lot.

I dont have any experience with the atlas but the superlock on the vision fg is well worth the purchase of $80. Its a reverse tanto but its pokey enough to stab and the best bang for buck knife ive ever bought
