I hate the hear you are having troubles with your channel at the moment. I especially feel your pain on the MSI and Marble meeting, I dropped my Towser S and the scales chipped in 2 places. I use my knives so I expect it will happen to them all but it hurts still. Don't worry about the monetization just focus on the content and the love of knives. Everything comes in time. As for the Kizer buying, I do not blame you. I picked up a Mini Sheepdog mid 2024 and I was blown away at how much I loved a slip joint. The quality was amazing and the blade was very formidable against everything I threw it at, so I bought another and another and then several more. No matter which model I pick up I am always impressed with it still. I hand someone a Nice Guy and tell them it was less than $50 and they just blink, knowing they bought a $200 Benchmade that didn't impress them as much. Then I hand them a SUB $200 premium Kizer and they as for a referral link.

I'll be dipping in and out, its not too bad, and yea its all about having a nice chat with the knife club and fellow enjoyers. It has definitely been fun/informative at times and I've learnt loads of things along the way And yeap.. whenever something drops onto the floor here is always a bit scary, theres the quick picking it up and examining it for damage. And yea of course damage and dings are fine and accumulate over time, its just natural. But that certain types of damage, like your scales splitting open, or a tip getting bent is not a lot of fun Kizer have kinda slowly gone ahead regarding more budget oriented overseas companies like Civivi. Their heat treatment especially. They have their Nitro V going up to 62-63 on some models ive seen before, average is 61 though, Civivi are still in 58-60 on a lot of Nitro V and their more expensive brand We Knives, they run the 20CV at 58 to 60 as well which is a bit weak. Anyways anything that I complained about in the video is something thats really a non issue, life goes on and its all good 👍 Have a good new year

That Lito is gorgeous. If it was a bit larger, I'd already have one. I really like the looks of that Shark cub , but same thing. I had a 20.5 Sharksfoot , but the Shark lock was not for me , ( arthritis) , so I gave it to my son . I wanted to ask , what are your favorite opening/lock combinations ? For me , thumb opening, preferably studs , and button liner lock , followed by button, liner , then frame locks .
@Archetype_EDC4 күн бұрын
It is beautiful, feels very natural in the hand as well. Yea I had the similar idea lately, its button locks (traditional or compression lock activating ones) with thumb studs. They are so fast to open and your thumb is already near the stud when you take the knife out of your pocket. For Shark locks I think that an opening slot is better, the studs on the Flytanium dont feel amazing because of the spongy detent, even though its perfectly fine unless you are nitpicking, like im doing now But yea, right now I have so much variety that I pick what I want based on lots of other criteria. Button locks, shark locks, crossbars, compression locks, I enjoy them all. Even liner locks are starting to work their way back into my rotation consistently

Also about that upside down flick, that just looks cool as hell. You’re the first person I’ve seen do that and I’ve dropped every single knife I’ve tried it on many times! Hahaha. Cool video again man
@Archetype_EDC4 күн бұрын
I have a feeling I know why that person said that thing, probably something to do with it being a very fancy, classy knife (which it is, the maserin power, Italian made) so seeing me flick it out maybe scared he/she out of buying it. Dont know why she wrote it though, its not like I own the company and I just lost a sale lol The motion is very similar to darts, throwing knives. Do it on the grass only then haha, if I let one go flying one its going straight onto marble and that will be another tip I will have to regrind. Oh and its a good way to get rid of lock stick as well, if you do it really hard.

I also very much prefer the non foam knife cases . The foam deteriorates , and even on a good day , little particles seem to get on/into my knives , strip oils , and are harder to extract the knives from , than the loop type . I got a pretty decent one off Amazon for cheap that holds a claimed 64+ , and perfectly matches my Worksharp precision adjust kit's carry case , black with a yellow zipper. It has the illustrious and storied name of Boobowl . Gotta love those madeup Chinese brand names .. Good 💩 at good $ though. ($32)

No one puts pressure on the top of a blade in use that would close it in the handle, so there really is not much need for a lock to be able to hang a car engine to keep from closing. Normal use prevents closing that way. All these locks are a solution to a problem that didn't exist, just for PR and price increase and 'bragging rights'. A knife that would benefit from a good lock is one that you go around stabbing people with. A stabber needs a good lock. How many of you Walter Mittys go about stabbing people with folding knives? Why do you think that the traditional stiletto locks are barely functional? Want a test that has some value, take your knife, open it, lay it FLAT on a table with the blade extending over the edge of the table. Clamp the handle and add progressive weight on the blade! Most use requires lateral pressure, from carving to sharpening to prying. Lets see what this test says about the 'tanks' out there. Do they still stack up? Will the steel break before the joint? Lets get some real test numbers that aren't blowing smoke! ;)

@@turing2376 yea it has definitely been modified a bit since the original ones in wood and G10.
