This guy sees himself as aged with his hair colour but i see him as a teacher in late 30s who is keeping alive the young version in it. I can see it from your talk, from your eyes, even from your glowing cheeks. You have family, you have your own shop which you its a great job for someone who loves tech, you have people who loves you (count me) and you have great kids. This is grace sir! Everyone wants a life like that!

As a user of the last type, I agree. A few tips though. 1) it comes in 4 or 5 different sizes. from 2 to 6 sliders. The one with 2 sliders is a bit shorter, 3 and up is same length. I have the 3-slider one, and its still heavy, probably 400 grams. 2) I'm not sure what it is, but there is a hard coating on the surface that is non conductive. 3) There are 3 different heights the board can sit on, on the blue pieces, but no groove that close in again that can knock off components. Its shaped more like stair steps. So you lift the board up 2 different heights, or at the lowest, sit flush directly on the surface. 4) you can loosen the screws with a hex key, then there is a little room for adjusting the blue pieces if needed. Same for the spring and button sliders. 5) If it gets really grimy, the whole thing can be disassembled easily, and plop the parts in the ultrasonic cleaner.

The advantage of the ipinch is that you can easily rotate the entire fixture if you need a certain angle and you have limited space under a microscope. works great. does hold a switch board and opens and closes equally as quickly as any board holder that has screw fixtures.

WAIT!.. With regards to PCB Holder Number 5 @ 19:16 Is it possible to use the central opening so that the clamps can be screwed inward, ergo having the board central to the PCB Holder? 🤨 Never Mind I just got to the point where you answered my question..
@DustinWatts Жыл бұрын
Haha... I can remember how lucky I felt when a video got a comment. :) Also funny that your "worst" holder is the holder I use a lot. But... the boards I design are usually bigger and also less oddly shaped with more room at the edge of the board.

i think the first holder's usage should be, you tighten the screw approximately depending on the size of the board, then push the spring and fit the board

You should clamp one of the magnetic ones in the one that swivels that way you could pull up one of the boards that needs to be in one of them at a 90 degree angle

I know it's an old video, but surely you are not using that 'previous winner' holder correctly? It looks as though it is designed to clamp the board in the centre, by winding both clamps in onto the sides of the pcb. Looked like the switch board would clamp fine using it that way.
