My poker tip would be _"Go watch a video where the uploader isn't selling stuff every 3 minutes"_ lol.

Learning how to react when the turn doubles the middle pair has helped me a lot, and how to use blockers and anti-blockers effectively using suits and deducing a capped range.

What I've noticed is in common with all of BlackRain's videos that he never seems to say is that the key is to just stay one step ahead of what your opponent is doing. In other words, you don't have to play like a pro unless your opponents are nearly pros. And now perhaps you can see why having a fish at your table is so profitable since not only are they a bad player but it's so easy to just stay 1 step ahead of them and keep making more off of them.

Excellent points. You don't have to be the best player in the world, you just need to be a bit better than the people at your table!

Great teaching. However if you are new to the game remember to limp in under the gun with pocket ace's and wait for someone else to raise and then shove all in

I have been watching lots of these vids for about 2 months. I can say with absolute authority that i am cleaning up at my regular poker get together once a week. I was playing like a fish and not taking it seriously at all. Our buy in is $30 and antes are 5 and ten cents but no limit after that. Most people buy in for another $20-$30 as the night goes on and we have anywhere from 6-12 people at the game. Since employing these strategy's i have gone from losing $30-$50 a week (with the occasional break even or small winnings) to winning $60-$80 on a regular basis. I thought it would be less fun playing less hands but i'm finding it's more fun to play hands correctly and to build pots and raise properly against the fish at the table. Can't thank you enough Nathan :)

@blackrain79poker our poker philosophy is very similiar. It's nice to see. My ONE thought is the triple barrel when river is an ace. The straight draws absolutely leaves alot of hands that would fold. However against the rec players I find it that AT, A7s or A4s even are quite common occurance. Id guess it has to come down to feel of the player and moment.

Re No 1. With my luck, other player has JQ and hits the straight and re-raises or goes all in on the river. Then what? You'd have to fold or lose big. One can never assume anything about the other player as they might mix and match their strategies.

Something I’m dealing with is raising and most of the table calls in a tournament. Like 2-3 callers. What to do in position and out of position? It’s in a poker league . Most people call everything.

3:11 so a LAG, u wanna 4b bluff? U know they are more likely to 5b jam and call the 4b? And u wanna use A3s? Cos it can crack pocket Kings? Sooo, a lag would flat the 4b, and not shove? How u gonna crack it by 4betting? U'd have to call the jam wit 30% equity? So it's great for the blocker effects? A lag, ALWAYS 3b, AJo, probably ATo, so you have 1 A, that leaves 12 combos AK, 12 combos AQ, 12 combos AJ, and 12 combos AT. You really blocking a lot of shit here? Really selling it with the nut flush, u do know flushes and straights wants higher stack to pot ratio, now lower, so you get to see all 5 cards. This is opposite Still scamming the beginners and novices i see, oh well, to each their own

View that portion of video again. It is very clear. Aggro means aggressive. Float means calls
@zacharymassat1515

@@STEPHANIEBEHANIC Yes obviously. I'm more speaking in terms of "this line is garbage". It's fine and necessary to float, but you do so with hands that can pick up significant equity on the turn, not AJo. Going to turn, calling a 2/3ish size bet with a gut shot hoping that if you (likely) miss, your opponent check folds, is awful lol. Just fold, pick better spots
