We carry out more work on our Portuguese House, more demolition of the outbuildings, painting some chairs, filling holes in the ground with rubble and installing a washing machine.

We don't use our bidet either because we prefer using a bum gun. Having a washing machine makes life so much easier!

The two between the house and the stone building are awkwardly placed and poorly built. We're thinking of having a larger courtyard area in place of it with a table and chairs under the vines

Love seeing your progress. I think your water waste pipe from your washer may be a bit high - ideally they should be about 40 - 100 cm high from the floor. Keep on keeping on - progress is always moving forward.
@michaelboalch
@michaelboalch Жыл бұрын
Thank you, the waste pipe is probably higher than it needs to be. But it works for now, I'll cut it down if needed! Is there an optimum height? The manual said max 120cm, I have it at 125ish

God bless you e sua esposa 🩵🩵🙏👍👍👍 🐕🐕🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

If you have hot water storage you could probably plug the washing machine to the hot water tap and save on electricity. You will need to put a thermostatic faucet to regulate temperature.

Good idea, strangely we've not been able to get hot water from the bidet or the basin tap so I'll have to investigate that some more. Luckily the kitchen tap and the shower is plenty hot

Excellent work on the video's, it shows that you have become more accustomed to being on camera. The VoiceOver parts and explanations are key to making it engaging to watch. You can start to see how this place will have a very idyllic feel when renovated and cared for.

Put two boards together with the grain at 90 degrees for the scaffold pads otherwise they'll split. stop putting the wall rubble on the ground, put it straight into the barrow. Save your back. Keep the rubble for hard core to use as a base for paths and driveways. Use larger (4 inch) paintbrushes to save time when cutting in. Don't use the concrete breaker horizontally, save your back, utilize gravity. In fact don't use the concrete breaker to dismantle block walls, it's for floor pads and steps usually, use your sds breaker to "dismantle" the wall straight into the barrow. No need to put tarp under the rubble, it will make collecting the rubble more difficult as it catches on everything. When the guys come to collect your rubble from the council, get them an iced drink, they will be thirsty, make new friends at the same time, you may meet again some day. Using a marker pen, draw around your toolboard each tool in its position, then you can see at a glance which ones are missing. Cut up all your scrap metal so it is easy to transport to the dealer. Save space, fuel and your back. Consider getting some "in ear" plugs as opposed to muffs so you can wear a large rimmed straw hat to protect from the sun, that chainsaw combo is too hot. Consider also polarised eye pro, instead of clear. Consider also if you are working with blocks... sturdier footwear than crocs, tan in colour otherwise your feet will boil. Consider also using a white tarpaulin to act as a sunshade to work under, especially when mixing a batch of muck/render/plaster/concrete. Use long poles and guy lines to put it up, get twice the work done with half the discomfort. Otherwise you are doing great, keep up the good work.

If there’s room you might consider hiring a mini digger to pull it all down and move the rubble. Of course this may have been filmed weeks ago 😉

Yes, would make it much easier. There are several jobs that would be much quicker with a mini digger. I'll have a look around to see if I can rent one easily

Sound is nearly inaudible. Mic on camera isn't strong enough to pick up your narrative if not being held. You being a soft-spoken lad exacerbates the problem.

Missing tool already 😂 that didn’t last long Micheal, it’s a guy thing we all suffer from 😉oh and bye bye bidet 🥲 has anyone ever used one 😁 a washing machine much more useful I think. Shame about the 3D printer but you live and learn and you won’t mess it up again 👌🏻, have a great week Micheal , great to hear you talking more on camera 👍🏻 it’s definitely the future and your becoming more relaxed, if you can get Mila to say a few words on camera too 😁 WILL BE AMAZING 😂.
