I live in California and have a little insight to the lane laws. If you are towing, this can be a rv trailer, MH, or any trailer. If the highway is three lane in your direction of travel, you should use the right lane and the middle lane to pass. If the highway is four lanes in your direction of travel you can use the right two lanes. Don’t get caught in in the third lane from the right. The ticket is towing in the wrong lane and not cheep. Been there done that. In San Diego on interstate 5 and you transition to interstate 8 east you enter interstate 8 in the either of the two left lanes. I tried to move to the right but traffic wasn’t allowing it although with the CHP’s help I was able to move all the way to the shoulder so he could give me the ticket.

Propane usage. Cell phone usage at the gas pumps is also illegal, at least according to posted signs. Alas, I notice no one follows that rule. Sometimes rules are made without any actual data and it takes years to change. It took almost 30 years to change to the laws to allow cell phone usage in airplanes.

I buddy of mine would "sleep it off" by hiding his keys on top of his wheel. So keys hidden outside the vehicle.

Suction cup thingies in the windshield laws are about obstruction of the driver's field of view and are subjective based solely on the opinion of the LEO. State legislatures are glacially bureaucratic at bringing minor updates to the floor for a vote so dashboard mounts haven't caught up. Drunk While Parking - if, in LEO's opinion, you might, maybe, possibly, potentially, be able to engage the motive force of the vehicle, you are prima facie guilty.

And really, are you going to stop at every tunnel and turn your propane off, pass through the tunnel, then stop again to turn it back on afterwards? I don't understand why people insist on driving with it on.
