You need to do other videos than just on moving to Australia. You should do more videos of what you do differently than you would have down in the UK

Jamie, if you are going to get a “support team”, make sure that the support team can’t pedal faster than you can. That solves the “crocodile problem”. [Handy Hint: Make sure your crocodile/support team ratio is correct].

Bluey is an old Australian way of naming red-haired people. I went to Roma State School and used to play rugby league against Injune State School at Injune in the very early 70's. Played at Roma, Injune, Mitchell, Surat and Wallumbilla.

Jamie seems very cool and chilled out. He will fit it well in Australia.

of course he is called Bluey, all shades of red are called Blue. Usually better than calling them "Ginge", just ask Tim Minchin!

Oooooo we have a fresh young gullible one, let me at him lol. Seems like a nice young lad, all the best to him. Seriously though, you'll be right Cooktown - Melbourne, it's a hell of a long way on a pushy though, don't worry too much about the Cassowaries, but probably any water crossings in the first couple of hundred kilometres for crocs and just be observant of snakes and wild boars (pigs) don't mess with them they won't mess with you. The weather maybe your worst enemy so remember to take plenty of water, a PLB/Satphone, if it all turns to shite and let the local cop stations know your proposed plan to err on the right side of caution and I'm not familiar with the track but make sure you get the required park passes and aboriginal land access passes, if that's required on that route. Good luck. And if you get clobbered by a roo flying through the windscreen on the property, the RFDS will come and save you. Think of 'whoop whoop' as a lot further than 'just round the corner' which is slightly further than 'just down the road'. Been an Aussie ranga all my life Ross so where do you think my username originates, and yes once they know you and nickname you, you'd be considered valued and a mate.

Go go go camping in the outback. The night sky is unbelieveable & you may see the mirra mirra lights. Scenery aint bad either.

"Blue' is a friendly Aussie nickname for gingers that has been around for generations. Why? ... because blue is opposite orange on a colour wheel and it's a bit of humorous Aussie irony. Not derogatory at all and not taking the piss, just a nickname.

Does Jaime realise that the property he was on is almost next door to where Prince Harry did 3 months as a Jackaroo on Tooloombilla Station in 2003? My cousin owns a cattle station just west of Roma. We don’t call that ‘outback’, not isolated and still lots of people. It’s just ‘the bush’. The real outback starts further west past Adavale, where it starts to get brown on Google Maps.
