Lol…I love birds and have always had them coming to my homes for food and chats…not plovers tho. They’re too busy pissing people off and making that aweful ear piercing sound 😂 like they’re killing something! I had a good laugh at this

You don't want people to criticise Brisbane, but then you criticise Perth, have you even been here? Criticising any state or territory, you're critising Australia. It is so negative. We're living in one of the best countries in the world, be grateful. I've visited all states and territories in Australia and Perth and Western Australia is beautiful. I've lived here happily for over 50 years.

I watched that video as well. And suggested to the author to visit and compare it to London 😂. He has no idea! 😅 UK public transport is waaaaay more expensive than Australia! 50p train?????? Woooow! Even local buses cost something like £4 aound the UK (varies if differe t areas though) Traffic in Birmingham or London is disguisting. Even here in Leicester it took me TWO HOURS to drive from Ashby - which is only 20 miles away

I have always wanted to move over but had kids early. Now our kids are 16 & 13 and we asked them 😮 they like to come to Perth. No hesitation, they want to move tomorrow. We are a family born in the wrong country. Praying our VISA is approved. Sell house, say our goodbyes and then respectfully joining Aussie lifestyle. Also what sold Australia to us was the fact that it's people wave as they cross zebra crossing... 😢❤

I lived in Sydney for over 20 years, and never needed to own a car. It was cheaper (and often faster, and more convenient) to get around by public transport than run a car, with all the associated expenses (fuel, registration, repairs, parking, etc.). Living in Southeast Queensland now, where public transport journeys are only 50c, most bus routes are still so few and far between (and train lines so far from where people actually live) that owning a car is necessary.

Passports and visa. If you are Australian leave on the Australian passport but book the tickets using the UK passport, otherwise you don’t have a visa to get into the UK and they won’t issue tickets. Passport control wants you to exit on the Australian Passport. It’s a shuffle and the same on the way back. Travel on the Australian passport and out through immigration control using the UK Passport. Take care M.

I think people need to see the bigger picture or if they can’t see that then go to America where free healthcare is only for the homeless. Where you pay astronomical medical bills but hey you won’t be able to bye food or pay rent etc but you’ll get a fancy hospital and huge debt. I am truly great full for our medical system yeah like any medical system any system in general you get some bad apples but overall it’s a great system

We've done this when I was 17. Moved to the UK with my parents and siblings, so I wasn't really stressing aboit money and planning etc but moving to any other country, or even city/region, can be hard on everyone - both parents and kids, and the grandparents thay stay behind.😢. We had to buy all new furniture, had some kitchen things, clothes, etc from back home. When I went to uni, I did sleep on the floor (my mattress was on the floor 😂) for a bit, but as the Quran says "indeed with difficulty comes ease"! Now I'm planning to move my family (wife and kids) to Queensland from the UK 🤞

Tasmania has a shortage of doctors. Rural Tas is quite bad to try to get in to see one. It is not free. It costs around $90 with a $35 refund. No one will bulk bill down here!

WA. Went to doctor on sunday. Paid $95. Health insurance covered $55. Doctor gave a few tests. Went to do the test following day. Paid $281 for ultrasound(claimed in OSHC). Blood tests were free or included with the doctor fees. No result even after 24 hours. Apparently results will go to the doctor who will inform us when she gets time and provide an appointment. Meanwhile we are left to stress about the outcome.

The saying is if you have to wait for test results they generally didn’t find anything wrong or nothing too serious if it’s serious they contact as soon as possible. When I was tested for diabetes Melbourne pathology rang my doctor as soon as my sugar levels came back because it was serious.

Some tricks when in the bush:In snake country, wear garters or Snake Protection Chaps; (An old North Queensland Aboriginal trick) near long grass, walk heavily and or about every 10 to 20 metres jump up down for several seconds. That vibrations alert the snakes to move away (sometimes). If you are bailed up by an angry snake; stop and throw your hat to the ground between you and the snake. The snake will watch the hat because of the vibration and the residual heat from your head and you can move away quickly (don't run). For interest: there are a number of bushwalking and outdoor clubs in South East Queensland. Do a First Aid course. The RFDS puts out excellent handbooks aimed at travellers in the Outback. Happy camping.

I’m an aged Pensioner and I don’t pay anything for my GP visits, most of my. Scripts only cost $6.70 to $7.70. Also I’m. type 1 Diabetic. My Insulin and Pens are FREE, My Specialist appointments at the Hospital for diabetes are FREE.If I need to go into Hospital as a Public Patient, that is also free, so are all of the doctors. However, I do have extra Private Health Insurance in case I need to see a Specialist who charges extra when I see him as a Private Patient. I believe our Medical system in Australia is So much better than in the US.Many diabetics over there have to choose between their Insulin supplies or food for them and their families. How is that a fair system!

@@ThatJohnstonLife It scares me too. I feel that eventually Australia will go to the US system of expensive doctors ,Services and Medicines.Partly because they are giving so much to the NDIS and allow the shrinks to take over the day to day running of it with very little in the way of checks against the scam operators. This leaves very little to the genuinely sick to receive care at an affordable price.

Sorry, you lost me early, 3 people that only seem to know about one fiftieth of Australia, trying to say which is the best CITY to live in, and doesn't mention Darwin, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart or Melbourne, I'm afraid just doesn't sound like you have a fair and unbiased opinion and the subject. Maybe when you have lived here for 20 years and seen more of the country you could try this again.

Sydney and Melbourne both have good public transport. Sydney's was ranked the best by the Climate Council due to access. According to the report, 67.2 per cent of Sydneysiders are living in areas with access to the minimum level of public transport - defined as having 'an address within 800 metres or a 10-minute walk or a service that runs at least every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm'

Sydney has trains, ferries, metro, buses and trams. Their tram network is not massive but I would say their network overall is pretty good. Also considering all the new plans for metros.
